Default Songwriting styles

If you did not already know a certain song was written by Lindsey, by looking at the lyrics alone could you believe it had been written by Stevie?
In other words, based on lyrics:
What Lindsey song is most like a Christine or Stevie song?
What Stevie song is most like a Lindsey or Christine song?
What Christine song is most like a Stevie or Lindsey song?

Behind the Mask and Heart of Stone are dark and bitter enough lyrically to be Stevie songs. Plus BTM has dark imagery in the words.

Say We'll Meet Again is optimistic enough to be a Christine song.

Silver Girl could totally be a Lindsey song. Just kidding. I had to write that to make Christy cringe.

Save Me a Place - Christine. In fact I think you can tell that she liked this one, with her playing guitar for it in the Tusk doc. "I'll come running..if you love....me today"

I'm So Afraid - Stevie (if just for the choice of words, imagery etc); but overall, too terse and jagged to be Stevie. "I slip and I fall and I die."

Over My Head could be Lindsey. The lyrics remind me a bit of GYOW.

For a long time, I thought the lyrics to "Mystified" were written by Christine, because "love songs" are so rare for Lindsey. I vote for that one as the Lindsey lyrics most like something Christine would write.

Maybe, since he was writing it for her to sing, he tried to make the lyrics Christine-esque?

I looked at the song, Save Me, on the back of the cd, when I bought BTM and I thought it was a Stevie song, just because of the dramatic, sincere title, not the lyrics

I'd love to say that Stevie would have insisted on a better video for one of HER songs, but then we have Paper Doll.

*CRINGE*

I know you are only talking about Rumours-era, but I think lots of Danny's songs could easily be Stevie songs, as they are so wispy sounding.

Woman of a 1000 Years reminds me of Rhiannon

Child of Mine (the title) sounds like a Stevie song

Coming Your Way sounds like a Lindsey song and dangit, he should have done THIS song in concert back in the day!!

I forgot that those were his lyrics, I just think of the music as his. But I've heard that demo where Lindsey's (barely) singing, and as I recall it's sort of vague, which leads me to think that Christine fleshed it out, and I think added the "The light that shines all around" part; which is as Christine as it gets!
