Default "Running Through the Garden" acoustic?

I was listening to the song the other day and kept wishing to myself that they had kept the acoustic thing going throughout the whole song without the extra production. i keep finding myself fast forwarding or rewinding to the acoustic-only parts. don't get me wrong, i love the song but i wish there was a version out there that didn't have all the extra production in it. i kind of like it stripped down.

anyone thoughts?

Although I think the production is okay, I agree it would have been better to have had more acoustic.

For me, the extra production makes Running through the Garden better, simply because it's such an urgent message and it (especially the keyboard) makes it feel all the more urgent to me.

The bootleg version is even more 80's sounding than the official version... the arrangements of that one seem dated, whilst the Say You Will version is very enjoyable to me at least. Although I'd certainly wish a more 'acoustic' version of it was performed... acoustic guitar, bass, drums, vocals... just four people... perhaps it's too hard... Oh wait! Fleetwood Mac has all that! Why don't they just do it?

I find the bootleg rather annoying. It's ok, I guess... The whole song echoes....and it's way 80s...I definately perfer the SYW version

Joe...You make a very good point!
We also wish Peacekeeper and Come
and many other tunes had less drums
and loud overtones and a nicer four-
piece sound! Especially the Fever song
COME! He ripps it up Too much!

If there had just been some more vocal 'echoing' on the SYW version, and 'Don't touch me!" said at least once instead of 'Turn around!, this song would be perfect for me. But as it is, as far as the echoing goes, Lindsey recorded these songs with a mind to recreating the 'live FM sound', so studio shenanigans weren't really in order as he saw it ... even though his songs got them up the kazoo.

Did she say this in the demo?

Yup. No "Turn around". You might even say that there was a lyrical turn-around!
You said you're getting it sent aren't you? Otherwise I'll post it to my webspace for you and any others who haven't got it, but it takes time to upload so let me know first whether you want it.

OK even though I swear I listened to it only a few days ago I can't find it; I know I deleted it off my webspace after posting it for a friend a few weeks ago, so maybe I deleted the source one in the process? Bah, either way, now I want a copy too :P
If someone can send theirs to me I will post it for anyone else who wants it.

Woohoo, we're in luck. Through the great site www.fleetwoodmac.de.vu (which tracks the downloads available on all the different pages) I found a site that is currently hosting the RTTG demo. Just as well, cause I need it too seeing as mine has vamoosed.
