Default Good Oberhausen review

Here is a pretty good review from my local newspaper called the "WAZ" It is one of those papers close enough to Oberhausen to send their own reporter so that they don´t depend on the DPA German Presse Agency which the band management had this struggle with right before the show (with the result of the DPA men leaving the arena at once) My translation is a little rough, somehow it's easier to express things in own words and my vocabulary needs a little update probably... Well anyway- here we go:
Glowing fire in the eyes and violent force in the music
Fleetwood Mac provided a great performance at the Oberhausen arena

They hadn´t been performing in Germany for 12 years, their reputation got pale over the years... Up to this tour. What Fleetwood Mac provided in this nearly sold out arena was a great rock show.
One thing you wouldn't like to be is Lindsey Buckingham's guitar. The dark curled Buckingham not only plays his instrument, he tortures it, plays his solos with enormous speed until the strings are breaking. Then he throws himself on the floor, rolling on the ground with his guitar towards the audience and lets people touch him. More pleasant it would be just to be Lindsey Buckingham., because the years seem to have been gone by for him without leaving a trace. You could even get envious, by regarding with which kind of glowing passion he sings the duets with Stevie Nicks. These two are no more a couple for a very long time, but their relationship built the ground for many world wide hits. There were a lot of examples for this: At the latest after the 1975 hit "Rhiannon" they had won over the spectators completely. Following was a 2,5 hours lasting show including great songs, which probably sound a little dated on the radio but which did not lose any power live. The new songs fit in quite well, without having larger hit potential. You rather listen to Stevie Nicks singing "Gypsy" with her hoarse voice and becoming a Gypsy herself by wearing this fitting dress.
The band played together perfectly on monumental songs like Tusk or GYOW but also every musician on stage gets his right for soloing. Starting with Buckinghams solo version of "Big love" to the grand moment of Mick Fleetwood: on the encore he treats the drum kit, then some bongos and at last the electric drum vest. The audience was on their feet, especially as the band started singing "Don`t stop" as a rounding off.
