Yesterday's performance shouldn't be a surprise to anyone. Lindsey has been carrying the band on his back for the last two decades. His energy and charisma was so valuable to this band.

I really thought that Neil's voice would sound a bit closer to Lindsey. As a lead singer, Neil is not a good fit for large arena shows. He's a low key, easy going kind of guy. No way he can bring the same level of energy as Lindsey. It's not in his DNA.

I think the world of Christine. But she's five years older than Lindsey and Stevie. She looks great, but she's really frail. It was so evident on the Buck Vie tour.

So now Stevie is the leader of the band. Okay, so she has no range anymore. No big deal, everyone loves Stevie. Just ask her. Really, she has become so self centered. Have you ever heard anyone talk as much about ME and I. Her speech at Music Cares was an embarrassment. I used to be a Stevie fan. Then I realized how shallow and self centered she has become. And frankly, I don't think she's very intelligent spewing lies and constantly contradicting herself.

Looking forward to Lindsey's tour. First time ever that I will miss a FM concert...and I've seen them eleven times. No more.

Agree about "Don't Dream It's Over". For me, it was also the best pop song of the 80's. It's one of those songs that carries such emotional weight and has that unforgettable melody. I would also say that "I Got You" was one of the best pop songs of the 80's. It's such a killer song when Neil and Tim perform it together. Persuasion is actually a Tim Finn song and not a Neil song.

I don't know about anyone else, but I commented on the vocals on the BuckVie performances being off. I even posted in almost real-time when I saw them live and commented on how off many of the vocals were. I also posted about the pre recorded tracks which I do not like

But apparently I'm now part of the Lindsey can do no wrong and I hate FM crowd.

One thing BuckVie shows had was an INCREDIBLE energy. Granted they started slow with that acoustic mini set (which I thought was a bad idea) but it was a barnburner once they got going. I will also add the energy of the two of them on Fallon was lovely.

It will be interesting to see what the energy level is for the rest of the FM appearances and on the tour.

I really think the energy level will improve as Neil and Mike become more comfortable and acclimated to the Mac environment. Neil will never bring Lindsey level energy but it will be fine. And Neil's vocals bring far more harmony richness to the vocal blend than the band has had since the Danny Kirwan years.

I know. The question was if you were on a fanpage/forum for “Crowded House/Split Enz/Neil Finn/Finn Family.” Last I checked, Tim was part of the Finn family.

I have to admit that I initially feared that Christine wasn't playing the keyboard at all, but miming. Having had another quick look at the footage,
she is clearly putting her foot on the sustain pedal at certain points. She wouldn't bother to do that, I would think, if she was faking it. I do think that the "backing" keyboardist is doing the heavy lifting, though.

But doesn't she look great?

The other thing I will admit to is that I always enjoy watching Mick playing. Whatever his faults, personal or musical, he's clearly in his element.

That's the problem here. He will never bring the amount of energy Lindsey had on stage, and that's the main complaint I read yesterdady. He can be Pavarotti (which he isn't) and he still won't have the amount of energy and chemistry with the rest of the band that Lindsey had.

have you watched any of those 100s of Neil vids you sprinkled all over these boards? the guy doesn't do energy.

And Lindsey didn’t bring the energy or showmanship of Jeremy Spencer or Bob Welch, and Rick Vito jumped all around (to the point where people later talked about how annoying it was).

you do know these people left, right? like - there was NO FM at those different points. so they brought in new people. there was no comparisons, because comparisons were either new guys or nothing.

as you well know, but keep arguing anyway for whatever reason, that was not the case this time around. if anything, this time the comparison was 4 without Stevie or 4 without Lindsey. 4 without Stevie they could have pulled off really nicely, without having to add anyone new, as again you yourself argued countless times. it could have been fantastic - and we would probably have another new FM album within a year! we could hear Carnival Begin and On With the Show with Mick and John on FM tour this year. 4 without Lindsey? apparently they needed 2 new guys. again.

EDIT: well, Vito didn't leave.

That’s clearly my point. Lindsey fills arenas with the Mac. You need a special kind of energy to do that.

Maybe Rick kept jumping every time he glanced over and saw Klonopin Stevie.

Here is an Ellen performance to cleanse the palette. Enjoy!

More than anything, I was left feeling sad for Finn and Campbell. Both are very talented artists but they just don’t mesh with Fleetwood Mac. They deserve better than this mess.
