Everyone in this band - and probably everyone closely associated with this band - uses plenty of expletives. We have heard them on stage. It's probably commonplace around the dinner table as well. I doubt anyone says "Please pass me the salt." Maybe they will feign shock at Kristen's post, but seriously?

Christine's role in this is more complicated. After the creative and emotional success of BuckVie last year (the album was great, the tour was fun), she must be feeling that she's lost her real musical partner. The one who made everything work, both in the studio and on the road. So why didn't she take his side, put her foot down, leave the band? I'm sure she both gets along with him on a personal level and feels that she owes him a debt of gratitude for his help during the time she rejoined the band. (Plus, who knows if there are "contractual obligations.")

I realize that this reads as if I'm trying to defend Christine. I'm really not; I wish she'd done something to defend Lindsey, other than looking really uncomfortable in interviews. But I can see the complexity of the situation, from her viewpoint.

I agree with all of this. Christine feels not just love for but an obligation to Mick. He helped her overcome her fear of flying. She promised him she’d never leave again....

Still, I wish she said, “Are you effing kidding me?!” when they fired LB—and just left to do her own album.

We still have no idea if she's under contract... if she got into it with the band... etc. I need to know more before I blame the The Queen of FMac.

The entire band, in every incarnation, would've ceased to exist after 1976 if being "not happy" was a legitimate reason.

Absolutely, LBs version he told KB would have been from his side and perspective only, I am sure she doesn't know word for word what actually happened.....I definitely don't blame Lindsey by any means but he would have put up a good verbal fight against Stevie and probably said some fairly nasty things. That was then Stevie's ammunition to get him fired.

Eve if she weren’t under contract, I wouldn’t blame her. Dashut it right: LB and SN are so toxic it’s useless to intervene.

It is certainly useless to intervene, HOWEVER if your FRIEND who you have just joyfully recorded an album with and toured with is fired as a result you do something to make things right ....otherwise you are enabling and encouraging Stevie's appealing behaviour

That's exactly what she's doing. She's justifying and supporting Stevie's' behavior. Wasn't Stevie they one who supported her wish of doing another album? No.

But I guess at the end she's just like Stevie.

Hopkins - you are one of the most longtime, respected posters on The Ledge. I think you actually like this Mac change. Your passive aggressive posts certainly hint a that. It is okay. Let the world know, you had grown tired of a Buckingham led Mac and are looking forward to the rebranded Mac.
