I just wanted to share that, despite the heavy year behind me full of illness and loss close by, I managed to muster the energy to get my vegetable crops all into the ground as of today. The neat rows of vigorous seedlings are medicine for my soul.

In general gardening is good for the soul. Hope things get better for you.

Thanks sasja, you're very sweet. I guess it's just that I had hoped be at least in my 30s before seeing a white hair, however I know it probably doesn't mean anything, it will likely be the only one for many years.

I'm rooting for you and your garden, rediscovering contact with nature helps during hard times.

Hi, thank you so much! It's been a long time, studying, writing, learning more about music and history.

Yessssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss
England beat Columbia to reach the quarter final of the World Cup.
(Columbia were a really sly, dirty team. Good riddance to them).

Welcome to the classy side of hair color. White hair is awesome, distinguished and impossible to get out of a bottle!! It's the only hair color that can't be duplicated, so all hair dressers claim that whomever invents a dye to color it, will make a bazillion dollars!! That's what my hair dresser told me!

I'm truly sorry to hear of your struggles, Sasja. Gardening is so good for your entire body, mind and soul. Good for you for tackling that.

Well at least he is reading The Ledge. That's better than not participating at all. I just went through a strange faze where I wanted a cig every day for about a month but not enough to actually have one, mind you.

I felt industrious today!

Gave one of my dolls a face-up and sewed her a mohair wig.
