Post Radio & Records

Not sure if it's been mentioned here yet, but...

FM has an ad on the Radio & Records website today (rronline.com). It states that the band is "going for adds" (looking for stations to add songs to their playlist) for Steal Your Heart Away and Thrown Down (!).

We all know about the AMA performance, but it also mentions a PBS special, and a performance on Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve!

Someone should tell DC that's alot of apostrophes for one title.

Who is Nickel Creek?

Time magazine named them one of the Top Innovators of Music, and their latest CD, "This Side", won a Grammy for best contemporary folk album!

That's who!

I think both songs are good choices. Unusual to release two simultaneously though. The big question is: Will they be released as CD singles to the public? As imports as least? Where was the CD single for Peacekeeper? Say You Will? I haven't even seen them released as imports.

I thought the same thing. I talked to a friend who is the assistant PD at a local radio station, and he says that labels sometimes do that to appeal to different radio formats. While both Thrown Down and Steal Your Heart Away will appear on AAA radio stations, both could also appear on AC stations (both are going for adds, according to R&R) and Thrown Down is also going for adds on Hot AC stations.

I must say, I wasn't too thrilled about the release of Steal Your Heart Away. I understand the label is wanting to stagger the release of Lindsey/Stevie songs, but I think Bleed To Love Her would have probably been a better choice, as they seem to want LB's song to be more AC.
