Default Stevie is NOT Playing At Caesar's Palace, folks!

Apparently the site that was posted is a broker's site, not the Caesar's Palace site and the broker picked up the news off of VH1.com. I had sent an email to VH1 two days ago and got a message today that it was an error and that it should be fixed soon.

Sorry to disappoint!

I read on The Chain that someone called Caesar's Palace and Stevie isn't listed at all. The lady on the phone was very surprised and said that Celine Dion was doing shows on those dates.

UGH! I was so excited too! Oh well. I should have known it was too good to be true.

Bummer! I was all excited even though it didn't really make sense for Stevie to be doing the shows anyway. At least now I don't have to worry about spending a lot of money going to Vegas.

Actually, I posted that as a joke... I don't think we know for sure if the broker lifted the news from VH1's site. But it sounds like something they might do

First off, the tour dates posted on VH1's site did not originate from VH1, so I highly doubt they could verify them at this early stage of the game. I think the error VH1 might have been referring to in your email was the "10.20.98" date, which should probably read "10.13.04" in the chronology of future performances. That appears to be an obvious typo.

VH1 received their information from MusicToday, a big-client fulfillment service. They connect artists with fans through promotional means, like providing websites, online stores, ticketing, merchandising and so forth -- a behind-the-scenes team. You can see what they do here.

What is most likely happening here is that Stevie's management is trying to work out the logistics of a potential late summer/fall tour -- contacting promoters, musicians, venues, etc to determine availability. I'd imagine the Caesar's venue needs to be blocked off well in advance, so that might be why those dates have surfaced recently.

So hang on, folks. There may still be a new solo tour yet!
