Normally, I'd use 800 speed Fuji film. But since I wasn't sure if I'd be able to get my camera in and take pics, I ended up using the Kodak 400 that was already in the camera. I'm kinda bummed that some of them came out clear and others are so grainy- must have had to do with the amount of light onstage.

is 800 any good cuz I was thinking of using a 1600 colour and a 3200 b/w maybes...??

Depends if you're using a flash, and how close you are. Flashes only work up to 5 feet away. The higher speed # film you use, the grainier your photos will look. If you're in the first few rows, I'd suggest sticking to nothing higher than 800. If you're more than 5 rows back, I wouldn't even waste the time and/or film to take any pictures, unless you have a great zoom lens.

I'm no photography expert, that's just my 2 cents based on my own experience!

I am in the 2nd year of a photography degree so i wanted to also take some arty grainy shots, I think i'll do one of each to make sure i definately have something
