I *love* Silver Girl. Seriously, I LOVE it.
Yes, the music sounds like something from the Street Angel sessions, but Stevie's voice rocks and the lyrics (however corny the opening lines are) are among the most personal and vivid on the album. She really paints this picture of a woman, her life, and her shortcomings.
I love Lindsey's backing vocals and the end where she stops singing and talks, saying "Sometimes, she's an actress...but you'll never really know..."
So, I hated it at first listen and for the few months after the album came out, but I've grown to love it and I never skip it. Never.

PS: This does not mean I'll EVER have a change of heart about WISYA, Johnny.

I'm just wondering what took you so long. "Silver Girl" was my favorite song when
Say You Will was released, and still is to this day. I never really understood the massive bashing it received. It's such a great song. Plus, I never thought the lines from it were ever really corny at all. Just Stevie being incredible...
