So cool how they work with each other, making the listener feel like they are discovering something every time they listen back. I feel like I'm being given a free master class in music production from a living legend. For music/recording geeks like me this is as good as it gets. Then there is the flanged/delay backup vocal on the chorus off to the left. Helps build up the chorus without distracting you too much. Tough to really explain all of the things I hear, but I don't find this stuff anywhere else, in any kind of music. Lindsey is just an incredible artist. Sure it has elements or influences of Tango on there but it's definitely different and new.

As for rocking... Music doesn't have to blow the windows out to rock. I think one of the best concerts I've ever been to was a Ryan Adams acoustic show. One man, one guitar, one voice.

But if you're looking for rocking in the traditional sense, turn up the last minute or so of the album. There is no way anyone on this board; and we all love this band, didn't have goose bumps when Lindsey plays a solo like that. Makes you want to play the album all over again.

This is one of the best descriptions I've read and can't agree more! This is how I've always listened to Fleetwood Mac and Lindsey solo, he is a master and has a sound like no other, still within the confines of "pop" he manages to be relevant but not scare away the older fans! He's just so so smart at it!

Looks like your an audio junkie also. I guess since we both live in Houston and your a Pats fan then the debates may continue for a long time!

I think it's great!

Standouts for me are Too Far Gone, Lay Down For Free, and Carnival Begin.

At this point I'm kind of hoping Stevie decides to tour again next time BuckVie decide to go back into the studio. Eagerly awaiting BuckVie II as I'm losing myself in this record!

I'm not enjoying this record any less than I would have had it been called Fleetwood Mac. We KNOW there were four members of the band ready and willing to do a swansong Fleetwood Mac final album.

The music was so good that it just had to come out, and to solve the dilemma of a touring member not contributing anything to the music, it came out as Buckingham McVie.

And I'm glad it did!

I haven't followed Lindsey's solo career too closely, but from what I've heard of his songs, On With The Show and Love Is Here To Stay are two of the best songs he's ever written!

I like it more than I expected to! "Carnival Begin" is my favorite, unusually bold strong lyrics and singing from Christine, and a superb long solo from Lindsey at the end. Also loving "On With The Show" and that really catchy 3/4-time song, "Love Is Here To Stay".

Since it came out I've always felt the verse and bridge are one of her best and absolutely love it. The chorus is a little to christian rock for me, but it's still very melodic and has grown on me.

Only negative thing I have is that Lindsey repurposed "Sleeping Around The Corner". He just released that on "Seeds We Sow"...this is just redundant.

Will post again after I tear the songs apart on a more focused listen.
It was a bonus track demo on Seeds we sow. He added a bridge and some extra percussion. I like it.

That's the thing. He didn't straight up release it as a solo track. He released a demo of a work in progress as a bonus track on a specific version of the album. In fact, I never even heard it back then (still haven't heard that version) because, for one, I bought the cd and not the itunes release, and I didn't feel a need to hear his demos of songs that were new but hadn't even been released yet. I had enough completed songs to get to know and put my focus on. That was my thought process at the time anyway. So this isn't, in my mind, a retread but just him finishing it up for final release. He had other songs on here dating back to 2012. The only difference is he allowed a work in progress to come out for SATC.
