They used a similar "organic" story for how they all ended up working on Lindsey's solo album and the Dance coming together.

Sorry if I offended.
You're not the first. Years ago, I heard someone in the audience near me talk about Neale as Christine's replacement at an old FM concert. The person said, "he even has hair like hers," which puzzled me, since he's a brunette.

One of the things that touched me a lot when Lindsey showed up at the end for the two BTM shows is the way he and Christine were together (he also had a very nice, awkward handshake moment with John). They were hugging and kissing during the band announcements and Christine was running her fingers through his hair. I mean it wasn't just a moment of PDA, it was like "get a room" both nights he appeared. I cherished that.

I was at one of those Forum shows as well..The one image that sticks in my mind from after the show was Stevie leaning up against a concrete wall smoking a Kool cigarette..it seemed like the end.

Well, he has hair, so that's probably it.

You're speaking for everyone now?

I wouldn't have even said anything if not for something ridiculous they said (namely about why they had Mick and John on it).

She was not thrilled to be working in the band without him, even while she got along personally with Billy and Rick.

I remember Rolling Stone capturing a photo of Christine and Lindsey at Mick's wedding around that time. She and Lindsey looked so happy and cool together! Seeing them that way got my hopes up for a potential project like the one we have now: I, like many FM fans, have dreamed of this day.

I think, given all of the comments Lindsey made in 1987 prior to leaving, Christine had a determination to show they could do it without him. That said, she never ruled out future collaboration with him. I think they had the least animosity between them when Lindsey left. And, I think her father's death maybe put a few things into perspective for her.

Thanks for the pic. Gosh, I still love it.

Maybe initially Christine wanted to prove the band could move on without Lindsey, but it seemed by the time she quit touring her view changed, or she was at the very least less convinced. Certainly by 1994, before TIME was released, she was unambiguously clear that LB was who the band needed most and even admitted this in an aol q-&-a session. When did her father die? Was it around 1990 or 1995?

WATCH: Behind-The-Scenes Look at the New Buckingham McVie Album

by Erica Banas

Lindsey Buckingham and Christine McVie are two weeks out from the release of their self-titled album, and they dropped an extended look at the release on their YouTube page.

As previously reported, while the album is being released under the name “Buckingham McVie,” it’s essentially a Fleetwood Mac album minus Stevie Nicks. Both Mick Fleetwood and John McVie play on the album and just from the way everyone is interacting in the mini-documentary below, it seems like everyone was having a blast making this record.

Of course, with this new album comes a mini tour, which kicks off June 21 in Atlanta and makes its way through the likes of Nashville, Raleigh, Boston, Philadelphia, Detroit, Chicago and Las Vegas before wrapping in Denver on July 27.

Lindsey's brother had died just before that BTM appearance and I'm sure that made them feel especially kindly towards him.

Her father died during the 1990 tour, which I suspect was the biggest factor in her retirement from touring, although she had said in a few interviews that she didn't see being a rocker after 50 (she was 47 at the time).

The AOL chat was done right after the release of "Time." Fleetwood Mac did one right after Christine (Mick said Fleetwood Mac was Mick Fleetwood, John McVie, Billy Burnette, Bekka Bramlett, Dave Mason, and Steve Thoma), and John did one about a week later on Prodigy.

Lindsay Buckingham and Christine McVie Premiere Documentary
by ROGER WINK, VVN MUSIC on MAY 27, 2017
in NEWS
A seventeen-minute documentary has been released on the making of the upcoming Lindsey Buckingham/Christine McVie album.

The self-titled set, which will be out on June 9 via East-West Records, may be the closest we get to a new Fleetwood Mac album as it sounds like the five members have little chance of getting back in the studio together although both John McVie and Mick Fleetwood also play on the set.

The new collaboration started to fuse when McVie decided to come back to the band after almost two decades away. The idea for the duet album came together even before the reunion tour started with the two going into the studio for some initial sessions. The finished after the completion of the tour.

Just listening to the snippets of music in the documentary, this sounds like it is going to be an amazing, upbeat, piece of pop/rock.

And, with Christine's dad dying during that tour, she and Lindsey were probably kindred spirits.

John probably made a point of leaving early so he could avoid all of that hugging. Good heavens.

After watching, when I go back and look at the track listing, I think the first 6 songs are pretty great actually and that's even counting Feel About You, when you put it in context with the other tracks. And Carnival Begin as the anchor. That's a pretty good album if you ask me. As long as Game of Pretend and Lay Down for Free aren't complete duds. If they are back to back losers that will be the worst thing since Running Through the Garden and Silver Girl ended up next to each other in bed.

I'm not quite sure about On With the Show, from what I heard, but this is very pleasing.

I would rather not have any previews and I didn't really want to watch the video, but in the end I couldn't resist.
