Mirage DVD

I think this was discussed here already...I bought one of those Brazilian DVD's of the Mirage show off Ebay...it came today...very good quality I must say..I wonder if this was an official release over there or what

I also agree that it's very good. I've already explained my feelings about why I think (IMO) it classes as a "legal" release so I won't go in to it again here but I am quite happy with mine too until a stateside DVD release of this show arises.

I've heard a few refer to "Rhiannon" as being "cut" on the DVD though I can't say I noticed any difference between the DVD & VHS versions of the performance. Can someone please point out to me where the "edit" is in "Rhiannon" on the DVD? Thanks in advance.

Well if it IS a bootleg DVD it's very professionally done

I don't think the quality, especially audio, is as good as it could be but its fine until a legitimate release gets done.

I also got the DVD off of eBay. It is great quality... I love the Rhiannon and Sisters... I did have one problem. At one point I randomly turned on the closed captioning and in rhiannon it was strange words. For "Your life knows no answer" it said "Your life is gold and silver" and for "Rhiannon" it said "We Addled"... I was like what is wrong with them?? They're very dense.

lol...the audio is a little poor on the ebay DVD...u just gotta turn the volume up higher than usual...

I don't think its that odd. I've listened to many a song and thought something else was being sung (not Mac related).

Seal says this is why he never puts lyrics in his albums because he likes the mis/interpretaion.

The really strange thing is - why go to all the length of digitizing the concert....and not search the internet for the correct lyrics??? That's truly dense.

Finally, my cover of the DVD shows the incorrect band line-up. How about yours?

Yes! I forgot all about that. It shows the post-Tango in the Night lineup. I was sort of depressed because I wanted the true lineup, then when I realized the cover was false I got excited. Why couldn't they put lindsey. Why couldn't they put a normal picture, to begin with? Stevie looks sort of odd, as does the rest of them!

Does anyone notice during "Songbird" when Lindsey is making a few odd facial expressions?

But the "Clock" is a tickin', coldplay ....

I don't think they'll ever release that on DVD here in the United States. However, sooner or later someone with the laserdisc version of it will transfer it lossless to DVD-R, & that will make the rounds & probably look & sound damn good.
