This is a hugely successful solo tour. Some of the shows are making more than 1 million each. Long life runs in her genes. I would bet there would be at least one more solo tour or some sort of farewell tour someday.

An odd statement... most people don't tour if they lose money. Like me saying, "as long as the cash keeps coming, I will work." Doesn't that kind of go without saying?

I think they meant if ticket sales were poor, she would cancel upcoming shows. Makes sense to me.

It makes sense to me, too... but that kind of goes without saying, right? If the tour makes money, she'll tour. If it doesn't make money, she won't tour.

well you have to WANT to do another tour and have some sort of basic PLAN for a new tour and figure out what you want to do before you actually announce the tour. You don't have to be in full rehearsal before putting tickets on sale but you surely have to know whether musicians are available and venues and all that.....so there's a fair bit of work into even determining feasibility of a tour.

I think the question being asked is, not will she sell tickets once she announces another tour, but will she WANT to do another tour, will she say "hey let's plan another tour" once she's done with this one and had time to catch her breath. Or will she fall on her thing about I just want to have a life and live in my little trailer in Malibu?

I think she would want another tour because honestly it's all she knows. her whole life has been structured around that, and she gets a great deal of personal validation when her tours do well. I think she would have her mgmt team do the market research to determine if they think they can sell tickets for sure before signing any contracts or commitments to tour only to have to cancel them if/when tickets don't sell.

The question is, will she be willing to do tours that require further downsizing --- i.e. really small venues or will she just stop.

This is definitely not her last tour. She clearly loves touring, either solo or with FM. I mean, she tours even when she doesn't have an album to promote! We know she'll tour at least one more time with FM, and at least one more time solo (or with another artist- I would love to see her on the road with Heart). Even if she never records another album, she'll still tour.

I'd love it if she'd do an honest to goodness greatest hits tour. If she did the 4 singles from BD, the 3 singles from WH and RAL, and Rooms that's 11 songs, leaving plenty of space for other less successful singles and FM songs. Or if she toured to promote a rerelease of RAL, that would be great, too.
