Before buying tickets I'd like to know.. is it better to sit on one of the sides, or on the floor? How obstructed is the view if you're 10 rows back on the floor, rather than in a section on the side close to the stage?
Thanks~~ |

My experience is perhaps a bit limited but I've done both. If you're on the floor a lot depends on how tall you are AND the height/size of those in front of you. I've sat on the floor for two FM concerts. Once in row 8, the other time row 12. I'm not tall at all, 5'4". I lucked out both times. In row 12 the seat in front of me remained empty the entire concert and I had a clear view of Lindsey and most of the stage. The other time the lady directly in front of me was my height so I had no problem seeing over and around her. It's a gamble sitting on the floor as to how much you see but the experience in incredible. Keep in mind everyone tends to stand more on the floor. There is a whole different energy being so close to the band! I think it's always worth it. On the other had, I find my favorite seats on the sides to be about the first or second section back, 5-8 rows up. I've probably sat in these type of seats a dozen times, always with a great view of the entire stage and close enough to be able to see clearly the faces of the band members.

For those of you who have been to Stevie's shows this year, how has the seating on the floor been? From the photos, it looks like the stage is pretty high so that it's easier to see for those on the floor.
If you're in the 12th row on the floor, can you see Stevie when everyone's standing? |

I have this question too since most up close floor seats for Memphis seem to be gone. Also there aren't many seats left in the first side sections. My question is would it be better to get seats in the lower level further from the stage (like head on view of stage) or get club level seats in the first side sections. I know they would be further away height wise, but would the view of Stevie and the stage be better?

I'm short so if I'm too far back on the floor I can't see a thing. If I can't get close on the floor, I'd rather be up on the sides. But not too far back.

Each section has its drawbacks... I think the most ideal seats would be either close on the sides or floor seats if there are risers. ![]()
