Default Is anyone else going to crawl into an internet hole?

Back in the pre-internet days, when I went to shows I didn't know the setlist and it was so much fun. I'm thinking of trying to go to the San Jose show without knowing the setlist. Anyone with me? I just wonder if it will even be possible.

I haven't gone to a Mac/Stevie show WITHOUT knowing the set list in advance SINCE the 1994 Street Angel Tour.

Since I'll be seeing the 24 KG Tour in Houston, Texas on October 29 (only the 3rd night of the tour), I've decided that I will NOT be looking at the set list beforehand. It will be tempting, but I can hold off for 4 days. This will bring back the element of surprise for me and I'm looking forward to it. My sincere hope is that I'll see "Wild Heart" and "Bella Donna" somewhere in the set list.

Yaaaaayyy. Now, do you think I can do it seeing as I'm seeing her the last week of the tour?

Sorry to veer off topic, PattyFan: If you could only hear 5 Patty Griffin songs for the rest of your life, what would they be? Mine:

1) Long Ride Home
2) Wild Old Dog
3) Shine A Different Way
4) No Bad News
5) When It Don't Come Easy

I never look at the set list. I love the element of surprise.

If she ever performs Bella Donna and The Wild Heart, I think I would die a happy fan. I also wanna hear her perform Sable On Blonde and Sleeping Angel.

Patty is NEVER off topic.

I love your choices. I don't think I could ever limit myself to 5 songs, but your list comes pretty close.

If I could limit it to 10, I'd say, in no particular order...

1. Long Ride Home
2. Shine a Different Way
3. No Bad News
4. Florida
5. Go Wherever You Want to Go
6. Riding with the Amazons (never released, have you heard the band version?)
7. Moon Song
8. Chief
9. Ohio
10. Blue Sky / Flaming Red / Trapeze / Please Don't Let Me Die in Florida / Poor Man's House

On a sad note, I don't know if you know this, but she has cancelled her fall tour because of an undisclosed health issue. We are all hoping it is nothing serious.

How do you not look? Do you just not get on this site until you go to the concert? Because people post threads with names of songs. I just want to know how other people manage it.

Love the list. Patty Griffin is one of the greatest songwriters in American history. Her name should be mentioned alongside the likes of Bob Dylan, Bruce Springsteen and Joni Mitchell. There are few people who can craft a song like Patty Griffin.

Prayers for Patty's good health so that she may continue to mesmerize us all.

It's so cool to find another Patty fan here. I couldn't agree with you more about her songwriting prowess. I assume that you have seen her in concert.

It's easy for me... I just don't view those threads. Boom. I never find out what songs are in the set list.

I tried that here before but people would start threads with the names of songs in the title of the thread. But it will be so hard not go look on here at all for almost 8 weeks

It's fairly easy for me to not come on here for weeks at a time. Actually, back in July/August I was pretty much absent from here. I pre-date the internet so I think that helps me out a lot.
