Just got Gift of Screws a month ago. That's a good one. Hope he does some of those.

It's time for the men of Fleetwood Mac to
make some changes, big changes. Oust Stevie
and Christine.

Replace Christine with Diana Krall. She's been
venturing into pop territory for awhile. Young,
blonde, plays the ivories. And that voice!

Though I'd rather him not be in the band, Elvis
Costello and Lindsey could collaborate on a few
songs.

Interested?

No need to replace someone who doesn't contribute
to the band. To answer the other question(s).

If you truly want to see FM go in a new and different direction and utilize Mick & Johns full talents on something other that slick pop songs then Lindsey is the one that needs to go...Bring in a guitar player (creator) like Neil Young or Jeff Beck...These guys have a history of not giving a rats a$$ what the industry or the people think of their songs or the direction they take...Neil Young walked away from both Buffalo Springfield and Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young because he thought they were getting too main stream...Mick and John are one of the greatest rhythm sections ever and a guy like Jeff Beck would maximize their talents...He could easily take them back to a blues band with a hint of fusion the real question is if Mick and John could keep up with him...

Mick threatened to unleash "The Men Of Mac" back in 2010 and had 3 years to make it happen...Did it happen NO!

In retrospect, I think the guys should have formed Buckingham Fleetwood McVie after Stevie decided not to record with them after the SYW tour. It would have been a viable way to function as a band without Stevie without kicking her out of Fleetwood Mac.

Sorry. It's just wishful thinking on my part.
Just wanting to surround Lindsey with youthful
talent.

A few years back when he teamed up with Little
Big Town they sounded more like Fleetwood Mac
than Fleetwood Mac.

2 things that i find baffling:

1. why do you keep coming in the thread about LB solo tour when it's obvious you can't care less about the topic and keep posting off topic remarks?

2. the question is not about who "needs to go" , it is which band member so obviously does not want to be in the band and yet keeps staying and doing her dam-nest to make the band irrelevant oldies touring band.

I think they should strongly consider releasing those 8 songs (plus 3 more for completion) without Stevie, and tour behind it. It could be billed as yet another version of Fleetwood Mac. Then end their careers with a farewell tour a year or so after that with Stevie back again.

The End. Everyone happy, right?

Jamie

Well, they made the Chain sound better than it had in awhile, anyway. Michele

yup you solved it perfectly!

tout the FM 4 as yet another FM version, moving forward in order to stay creative and relevant.

and then in 2 years have Stevie rejoin and tout it as yet another reunion / last tour!
