If he could drop the "old school" vibrato.

so it's not likely it's going to happen with Stevie
http://www.rollingstone.com/music/fe...future-w430527 As far as Fleetwood Mac is concerned, you guys wrapped up a world tour – your first in more than a decade with Christine McVie back in the fold – a little less than a year ago. What does the future hold for the band? Well, we're all dedicated to getting together about a year or so from now and going and doing another two years of touring all over the world, probably. And we also have a huge amount of recorded music. A huge amount. None of it's with Stevie. Or very little. Some of it is very, very old stuff that Lindsey maybe did with her years and years ago. We're not quite sure what will happen with it. But you know, doing this band is a huge investment. We're only off the road for less than a year, and when you add in the time it takes to put a tour together, do rehearsals, get it up and running, the whole thing, it's three years that you don't do anything else. And Stevie has her own life and career and I think … you know, she just doesn't want to spend the time right now. And we're quietly saddened about that but also I sort of understand. Do you think there will be a new record? I really don't know. The hope was that there was going to be. I do know that when Christine came back, she came back with a bag full of goods. She ****ing wrote up a storm. She and Lindsey could probably have a mighty strong duet album if they want. In truth I hope it will come to more than that. So nothing's planned ... but it could happen. There's always a "could happen" [laughs]. But one thing that's for sure — there really are dozens of songs. And they're really good. And so you think, "****, I don't want it to be that, decades later, when we're all pushing up daisies, someone hears this stuff and goes, 'Well, that should have come out!'" So we'll see. |

I feel SO SO bad for Chris. She must be so disappointed.
I'd give anything to have Barbara back to talk some sense into her daughter. Stevie's narcissism has really gone through the roof.

I'm disappointed, too. I wonder if Stevie would be more likely to record with the band if someone OTHER than Lindsey produced the album. A moot point, of course, because Lindsey wouldn't record with them if he couldn't produce it, but still...

On the other hand, maybe she's just holding out giving the band an answer until she feels she's properly "rested" from touring with them 24/7 for two years? Maybe she'll jump back into "recording mode" later on this year. Fingers crossed. I know she was unhappy with SYW and the EP so I can't imagine she's would leave those two albums as the last of her Fleetwood Mac legacy. She even mentioned at the School Of Rock benefit that she was planning to record with the band. As far as Mick's comments are concerned, it's probably just a question of "when" and not "if". Things are on "Stevie's time" now. I hate to admit it, but it's true...and it's a very selfish power play. Again...sad. |

He had someone else (co)produce the EP. And that was all his own material.

Maybe it needs to be on her time/schedule, but I feel it will still happen. The general public will not care about a FM album without ALL of these 5 people.
Sorry, some of you are delusional. Last edited by Nick; 08-12-2016 at 08:15 PM.. |

I just want to hear the new music Chris and Lindsey worked on. I don't care if it's called Fleetwood Mac or not. I don't care if it sells five copies. I just want to hear it. I've waited too long.
I'm so pissed about being had by the band. They really sold us a promise they didn't keep. Stevie was never fully on board with that promise but the remaining four (or three--John is typically silent on this issue) should just forge ahead and release it as a special one-off project. |

Stevie threw the diehards a bone with 24KG..I don't think she/Fleetwood Mac are going to do the same with a new FM album..stick a fork in it they're done.

And no one is delusional, except the people who think record sales matter at this point. People who want an album want it for the music. They want to see where these people are creatively. They want them to stop standing on their laurels. They want something fresh to hold on after these guys start dying. We aren't clamoring for a new album for the money it will generate, not for the publicity. Michele |

that's why Christine's fans are the ones clamoring the most - it's obvious she's been bursting with creativity and they want to hear the results of it! Lindsey's fans are right behind Christine's - he gave us all these great new songs in the recent years and we know he recorded tons more with FM - and we want those! we've been spoiled with new music from him in the last decade, and all that was suddenly brought to a screeching halt. meanwhile, most [primarily] Stevie fans, especially the ones who don't care that much for the FM as a band, could not care less. they already know she's nowhere creatively.
