I actually had second row but moved up with a friend. When Lindsey first came out I was in my second row seat. He saw me and laughed like he usually does.I was not right up against the stage but right in back of the people that were. On a side note I did get to see, Lindsey and Kristen, Stevie, John and Mick all walk by the hotel lobby at seperate times of course. Mick did come down to the bar along with some back up people but nobody else came down. |

if a good copy of this show shows up, I'd really love to have it (being that it was my first FM show). My mom was in awe of World Turning, and still is actually lol, and now she wants a copy too! I guess I'll just have to keep my eyes open from now on!

Yea, I was standing the whole night right next to the girl with the Lindsey Tusk hat on. We both go to play his guitat during GYOW, get his sig and shake his hand it was awesome.
I still can't believe Mick spit on me, lol. Anyway, yea, Lindsey was freaking me out with the wiggles. I looked over and saw his guitar tech Ray Lindsey cracking up about it. Kristin was behind me with Lee Lee and Will for like 2 songs - both had some type of ear plugs on. Later they sat on the steps watching their dad play.

Stevie twirled around during Stand Back, Gold Dust Woman and World Turning whereas in Worcester she spun once during Stand Back. I had a great time on the side lines in section 106. Great view of the stage and the band! Glad everyone had a good time. ![]()

Hiya Christa- i was at both 2 nights at Worcester Mass and Sat. night in Bridgeport
Not to disagree with ya, but i gotta say from where i sat, Stevie's 'Stand Back' in Mass had huge MEGA spin/twirls both nights, first night i was in row 6, second night a few rows further back. In Bridgeport Sat. night, her energy was good, but she lost her place during the last verse of 'Stand Back' and skipped about 4 or 5 bars of the lyrics-- Brett Tuggle gave this shocked double-take expression and held up a few fingers looking at John and Mick and the band and singers , and they all quickly caught up with Stevie for the 'it's all right all right' refrain, but she was WAY ahead of them for a bit, there. It didnt matter much, it was still a great highlight, and i dont think Stevie realized she'd made a mistake. Also, in the Mass shows, Stevie's 'Silver Springs' featured a chill-inducing 'was i just a fool' repeated 6 times near the ending ( i counted, LOL) , in Brideport she alternated 'was i just a fool' with 'give me just a chance' 3 times total, so there was a little less impact.. In Bridgeport she was in particuarly wonderful harmony voice on 'Say Goodbye' and it was perhaps her most striking singing of the night, very lovely. She sang with her eyes closed and grimaced at a high-spirited woman in section 1 who was rowdy and repeatedly screaming ' O MY GOD" during the song. the woman meant no harm but Stevie's displeasure showed-- for a second-- and the woman stopped. Lindsey was especially brilliant in Bridgeport, he played astonishingly well, as he did in Mass, but had a lot more stage presence and better between-songs comments and tons of good humor and was just great. Stevie had wonderful moments, but was better (for me) at the Worcester shows. Her 'Rhiannon' in Bridgeport didnt rock as hard as in Mass, and she had a wonderful (improvised?) ending of 'Beautiful Child' in Mass that she didn't sing in Bridgeport. ( " i wish... i still wish.. i still wish that you were mine") ' Gypsy' definitely was better in CT tho. Plus she was very cute in the boxing match with Lindsey, and warm and lovely when Mick introduced Mindy Stein saying that THIS was her final show for a while as she's pregnant with a baby boy and the audience and Stevie loudly cheered Mindy on. Mindy's face was radiantly beautiful all night long, she looked like an entirely different girl than when she performed in the cold on 'The Today Show' some months back. A striking and lovely Sharon Celani made great eye contact with a woman fan not in a floor seat but still in eye range to the right of the stage who was dancing and trying to get her attention, and Sharon smiled big at her and was very gracious. Stevie graciously played to the nosebleed seats making her gestures big, but avoided eye contact with Section 1 and 2 entirely, and only looked down to section 3 in front of her mike, on occasion. The fans who didnt have great seats were very pleased she went out of her way to play to them, so thats great. Lindsey was very outgoing with those in floor seats, so even in how they play to the crowd, Stevie and Lindsey really complement each other. i was 7 rows back from Lindsey's microphone, section 1. Had an awesome time. Stevie went the extra mile and said 'You have been an INCREDIBLE audience, Bridgeport, we will never forget it!" The audience definitely was in a frenzied rapture by the end of the night, and Stevie, Mick and Lindsey all seemed extremely pleased by the reception. What was also nice was there was no mass-exits during 'Come' or ANY song, the audience almost entirely stayed at their seats all night long, as it should be! Also, during Mick's drum solo for 'World Turning' Lindsey was kneeling (or crouched, actually) to the right of the stage with just his head visible in profile, and he watched Mick intently and was supportive, which was also a very visable thread through the show-- how much Lindsey, Stevie, Mick, John, Sharon & Mindy and Brett and the rest all supported each other throughout the night. It's been a great tour from the start, and they surely seem to have grown even tighter as a unit as the tour continues. Last edited by Nikolaj; 09-29-2003 at 01:56 AM.. |
