about. The biggest problem is that one of the FM
band members has too much power.
That really got my goat.

Wow, reading what happened to Joe perry is scary. Does this band think they have all the time in the world? This ain't 1979 anymore. Touring for 2 years? Really? You couldn't do a 6 month tour and then release a final album? You had to keep adding shows. The La forum had like 7 shows. Did we really need to hear Rhiannon again for the 5000th time?

I was just reading about it...he had to sit on the drum riser looking really, really unwell, then tried to walk offstage and reportedly collapsed... they're saying heart attack, but we'll see. He's 65.....younger than most members of FM.

This thread is like some sort of sick addiction. I can't help myself from checking in on it every day. I wish this thread would die already! And here I am adding to it. (Slaps forehead.)

unfortunately this thread is all we've got...In this case, I really don't believe that no news is good news. I think it's more like...no news = no album. Hope I'm wrong.

I totally understand the frustration from all the fans, I really do. I'm frustrated myself but I honestly believe that they're keeping everything a secret until the time is right to reveal all of the details e.g. Album release date, tour dates, possible singles, interviews etc.

I sure hope I'm right.

This is the only thread I really follow because at least the talk is about new music even if there is no new music to talk about. I'm kind of talked out on all other Fleetwood Mac topics.

I think you are......I think everything will center around the band's 50th anniversary next year! Until then.....we just wait!

I think--(hope)-- you are right.
Not only is it 50 years since they were formed in July '67, it is 40 years (yes its unbelievable) since "Rumours", 1977.
I said yonks ago that 2017 made sense, but even so they should have given us a hint, by now.
I also agree with previous posts that this is all becoming a bit boring but addictive, too.

plus they always get around to celebrate their anniversaries at least a year later and claim that's the right year!

i'm stunned by all the fans who have been around this fandom for a while saying secret! plan! all in order! in this thread.

guess people don't like to learn from history.

At most there will be a retrospective compilation or rerelease with a few of the new tracks. But even that is a long shot.

I'm not even hoping for that anymore. Anytime I get my hopes up, They get crushed by the awful reality.

And even if the band did do something for its 50 year anniversary, why wait until then to do it? That reeks of sentimentality and is pure gimmick. Ugh. This band pisses me off. No new album and I'm through. I'm simply not hoping anymore. Just hating. I sincerely do hope that I'm proven wrong, but I'm not counting on it.
