Our show was taped last night for a PBS concert special, misterbug! Isn't that fabulous?! I can't wait to see it again!! There aren't any dates set yet for the specials, but I think it'll be in the winter. Soundstage has a six-week turnaround before they air the concerts, but these are for the next season.

Also, Lindsey and Stevie taped another PBS Soundstage special on September 15. It was just Lindsey songs, but the setlist was AMAZING. Red Rover, Murrow, Someone's Gotta Change your Mind, Down On Rodeo, Trouble, a few lines of Frozen love; really awesome. These PBS specials will be something really special. And don't forget the SYW documentary on VH1 that'll be on soon!

You know I was a thinkin that if PBS has all of this FM concert footage, they may use the more obscure songs in the ostensibly sep. LB Soundstage thingee.

Turns out last night's Boston show was the actual show that will end up on the PBS Special...the 9/23 Boston show with only about 1000 guests was filmed for closeups and things like that...b/c its hard to get those things with a full audience....

I'm assuming the LB Soundstage show will be a SEPERATE show

LB's Soundstage will be an entirely separate show. It should be aired in May or June of 2004. The PBS Special for FM that was taped last night/Tuesday night is supposedly to be aired sometime in the beginning of the New Year. All of this great stuff, I can't wait -- especially for LB's SS omg!

They had little mics set up on the edge of the stage to recod the audience noise. Of course, I was right in front of it and they probably recorded me screaming and singing like a mental patient. There was a guy from PBS that was carrying around a camera on his shoulder and walking around the floor, taping the show. It was hooked up to a tiny monitor and you could see what exactly was being taped. They had a camera guy up onstage, too. He was crouching down on his knees and taping from behind Mick's drums. He got up close to Stevie and Lindsey from behind, too. Very cool. They had cameras hooked up everywhere, so I'm sure they got some great stuff on film. I found it amusing to see the camera guys doing warm-ups and stretches before the show.

That is what I am saying. Because it is a sep. show and they already have him doing the "standards" in the FM concert, I hope they will opt for the more obscure things (Red Rover, Murrow, Trouble, Save Me a Place, etc. ) for the sep. Soundstage show.

this is all great news. the boston show was definitely a good night to film the mac singing. they were on. a lot of showstoppers.

are the soundstage shows usually an hour, or the full concert? i would hate to see them cut ANYTHING out, but i would guess they would just select the "hits" to air?

Soundstage episodes run from either an hour to an hour and a half, it depends on the artist. I would imagine it would be an hour and a half for the Mac.

Don't forget, though, there are no commercial interruptions at all on Soundstage; that saves time for more songs.

As for the doc, who knows when it'll air!

I dont think anyone knows much about the SYW Documentary right now...some people were saying they heard they were having problems with it...because Stevie didnt like the way she looked in some of the parts

If these are the same people who said a band member wasn't happy their pic in the tourbook and wanted it changed, they aren't very reliable, IMO.

It'll probably be on in November.

~~~About when the Boston show will air on PBS - after the concert I asked someone who was actually carrying four videotapes in cases (I'm sure there are lots more) she said the show will air in the Spring of 2004.
