He was good. But 60 minutes killed journalism. CBS discovered that they could make money off news that was propped up as entertainment. 60 minutes dominated the ratings almost forever. It was the show that started the blur between news/entertainment. Sadly today there is no line anymore. Every news channel promotes news as entertainment. If you only did hard hitting news, you don't get any ratings and go off the air. And we wonder why our country is so crazy? CNN pages trend celebrity news next to serious global issues. Not picking on CNN cause they all do it.....just an example. Gosh remember during the 9/11 real time newscast they interrupted to announce Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez had separated.
