...reports are coming out that Paul Kantner, cofounder of Jefferson Airplane, has died at 74.
![]() http://www.nbcnews.com/news/us-news/...ies-74-n506481 He was at one time rumoured to be another one of Stevie's paramours. You know, some time back someone made a crack about a new FM album being a posthumous album. It's getting really not such a joke any more. ![]()

This death touches me in a way that the other recent deaths haven't. I mourn the loss of any person, of course, but I have always been a huge fan of Paul Kantner's music and his philosophy. I was fortunate enough to see him perform twice. Once was in October of 1975 when Fleetwood Mac opened for Jefferson Starship at the Boston Garden. The second was a Jefferson Starship show in a small club in Webster, Mass., about a dozen years ago. RIP Paul! In my opinion you were a rock 'n' roll genius like no other.

It's been the year of death, so far.
Wayne Rogers was very sad for me, as well. That death happened on 12/31/15.

Stevie has kept mostly to herself since the breakup with Lindsey. Outside of a short romance with drummer/singer Don Henley of The Eagles, she's spent her days either in the studio or at home writing and taping her songs. She icily denies talk of an affair with Paul Kantner." It's strange for me," she says in confidential tones, "I've never been a dater. I don't really like parties. I'm very alone now. I'm not one of those women who are just willing to go out and sit at the rainbow. In my position I could meet a lot of people just because of the band I'm in. Well, I don't want to meet anybody because of the band I'm in."

Spin. She also dated JD Souther during this time. She dated one of the recording engineers (not Hernan, that was during Tusk). She was dating Paul Fishkin per her People profile in 1977. Who knows who else. In the People article where she says she's dating Paul, she says he's sweet and wonderful and she's not interested in "playing around" BUT she adds that she does "get terribly lonely on the road"....so.... I think she wasn't dating anyone for a couple months there. LOL

From Rolling Stone:
Signe Toly Anderson, Jefferson Airplane band's original female vocalist who sang on the band's 1966 debut LP 'Jefferson Airplane Takes Off,' passed away January 28th. Anderson was 74. Anderson's death came the same day as her former band mate Paul Kantner, who passed away January 28th. http://www.rollingstone.com/music/ne...#ixzz3yqjuf2zG
