Even if she dropped one verse and a couple of choruses (ESPECIALLY the REPEATING choruses at the end), it would still be long, but at least it would work better. I find myself singing along to this one all the time but by the time the 5 minute mark comes and another verse starts, I get bored and skip to the next song. JMO.
Yes!

If she ever considered releasing in on an album (another Nashville outing?!) , I'd hope reasonable heads will prevail, and the song would get concisely rearranged and edited. It does get tedious, but it deserves to be released. A verse or two could be cut, as well as a few choruses.
Didn't really happen, IMHO, on 24karat or on IYD where, in both cases, Dave Stewart let her make things as long and repetitive as she wanted.

Those repeating choruses at the end have been the downfall of many of her songs produced by Dave. Clearly he doesn't see the need/ have the fortitude to tell her a song is too long and sabotaging itself by being too long.

Lindsey, of course, had no such qualms, and *mostly* (though not always) it made her songs better. If only he'd learned diplomacy a lot sooner, we'd all be benefitting.
