What are the odds of one more US tour?

There is NO WAY that this will be the LAST tour----but the farewell tour IS COMING very soon.

As a previous post stated, there is WAY TOO MUCH $ to me made by billing a FLEETWOOD MAC FAREWELL TOUR.

I think they'll take most of 2016 off (with Stevie doing minimal solo shows because she can't sit around).

There will be an album sometime in 2017 to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the band. THIS COULD BE THE FAREWELL TOUR.

2017 will be the next outing for FM .Now I cant wait for solo tours to start.

A 2017 tour should be built around two night stands. One of new album material should there be such a thing and a second that's the normal show with a couple deep cuts swapped between the two shows. It would be so nice and way outside the realm of possibility. Oooooh wellllllll

Will I hope their 2017 tour will be a summer tour in the states. My life was in gods hands as I traveled over the snow covered hills to see their show last winter.Anyway I was so happy that I went to see them last November"Year ago" and last February.

There won't be another be another tour like this. There may be an album and a small tour but this is the last of their big tours. I don't think some of the members are really enjoying this that much and don't want anymore big tours. Some members fail to realize their ages and that some of them have unfinished business outside Fleetwood Mac.

I think they will have an album out when christmas sales start in 2016. And I see a tour in 2017, maybe not so many concerts in such a short time, but they won't stop without that last big money maker.
I'm not even sure if I want to see them again. This tour was so massive expensive for tickets, they will want even more for a farewell tour. And do I want to throw out 300 Euros again (probably much more) to see Stevie having a bad night and not even bothering to be at least professional, again? Not really!

Maybe take a year off then do like 40 shows in the US for a farewell tour. They should probably do it before Christine is 75.

God it would be ironic, wouldn't it, for the farewell tour to be called On With the Show!!!

Anyway in my opinion, the odds on another Fleetwood Mac tour after the current one are

2015 tour is their farewell $15

Come on, you would be crazy to bet on this tour being their last. Think about it, the only band member who is completely disinterested in releasing a new Fleetwood Mac studio album... Is also the only member who is absolutely resolute that there MUST be another tour after this one.

Ah Stevie Nicks would make me cry if she didn't make me laugh.

I hope that Stevie realises that her contribution to the Carnival Begin Album (may as well give a name to Linds and Chris's batch of songs from 2014)....Stevie making her standard contribution of just 3 or 4 new songs...would mean she gets her wish for a farewell tour in support of the new album and as a last stand for this great band!

The way some ledgies talk it's like they think at 75 Christine may as well be taken backstage and shot... To put her out of the misery of being as old and frail as a 101 year old woman.

I am currently working in a geriatrics ward as a nurse in a small Sydney Hospital... And let me say this: I looked after a 92 year old lady last week. Guess what?

This 92 year old:
Showered independently with set up assistance
Toileted self
Walked unassisted using a roll at or frame
Spoke English clearly
Spoke fluent Italian
Did NOT gave any dementia related diagnoses
Was NOT confused in any
way for the whole week I looked after her

I thought that it was necessary to give some ledgies a bit if perspective about the realities of senescence or the ageing process.

Honestly I believe providing they continue to enjoy performing, Fleetwood Mac may still be playing live shows when Christine McVie is 80 years old.

This band can and will keep going until one of them dies. I still remember a 2013 bit quote worth repeating by Stevie Nicks, "it is never going to be a farewell tour until we drop dead".

It goes without saying that if a band member develops dementia that would be the end of Fleetwood Mac as we know it. But call me crazy, I am going to keep going back to the independent, upwardly mobile, alert and oriented 92 year old woman patient I had the pleasure of caring for last week.

Now I have images in my head of an octeganarian Fleetwood Mac on the road- Lindsey and Stevie are going to be two really grumpy old people still fighting with each other. He hits her with his walking stick, she thows her dentures at him.
