You're so right about that! But she would need guidance from a pure rock and roller to pull that off. Someone like David Groh, or somebody slightly off the grid/not so obvious. The audio template of Stone Temples Pilots comes to mind.

I like her vocal a lot but I don't think it's quite as good as his vocal. His vocal is perfect but less interesting. Still it works and it's a little out of the box for her. The song is just nice, not great.

I have the song.

Am I allowed to share it?
I don't remember the rules on sharing music...

Stevie needed to harmonize with Don in the second verse. First verse him only. Second, both. Then she starts singing and they end singing together. I would have produced it a bit differently. I agree - that was a great vocal for her.

Thanks a lot for posting the link. I'm going to get the CD this weekend. I agree that the song seemed to just sort of end, and that there should have been more song or more Stevie in what's there.

And I would LOVE an all country Stevie CD and I would also LOVE an all rock (thinking Fall from Grace, Sisters of the Moon, Edge of 17) Stevie CD. Or how about 1/2 country, 1/2 rock?

You guys remind me of Donny and Marie singing I'm alittlebit country and alittebit rock and roll from their 1970's TV show.LOL.....

I completely forgot to stop in at Target as I drove by it the other day.

My friend said her IYD sounds too country for him as he said there's no meat "rock and roll" in the tunes.

It kind of reminds me of "Smiling Islands" in terms of her contributions.

I heard the song on youtube. I agree this should have been on the standard version of Don's album. Unfortunately even on Spotify the "deluxe" version doesn't contain this. I hate when labels do that sh*t.

This reminds me when Patty Smyth released "Sometimes Love Just Ain't Enough" in 1992, it featured Don Henley......but it wasn't considered a duet. Same thing here. Stevie has a small part on this song which is like a special featured artist, but not quite a duet.

I think there's some auto-tune in Stevie's vocals, which makes it sound unfamiliar, too pitch-perfect.
I'm not a fan of the song anyway.
