I agree completely. As a 20-something who sees YOUNG kids taking to FM, I just know the album would be appreciated. Maybe it wouldn't be up to industry standards in the market department, but IMO, Fleetwood Mac as a band, as a sound, should BE industry standards, even today. I'm over the current top 40, and these teens coming up are, too. They all LOVE the lyrics and the feeling. A lot of what they're getting from modern radio is lacking that. I'm all for a new FM album, especially since Chris is back on the road with them. Fingers crossed.

It's certain that their very successful massive world-wide tour has raised their profile and commercial appeal across several generations. Having Christine back in the band is a major draw. But it's doubtful they fear any embarrassment if their album isn't a blockbuster. They are fully aware of the drastic changes in the music industry. As a vintage band, I think they have reasonable expectations, and are more focused on their artistry than market performance.

They can't compete with the Taylor Swift-like youth demographic that dominates the charts. I don't think their album will stiff. It's quite possible it will debut high on the charts. It would be nice if hangs on for a while. It will likely sell respectively on a international level. I hope the music is well received and gets positive press reviews.
