Default Demos/Unreleased Songs Suggestions

I would love to know some recommendations for some of Stevie's demos/unreleased songs to listen to.

I've only listened to Smile At You, Forsaken Love, Gypsy Beggar, and Forest Of Black Roses as far as unreleased songs go. I've listened to various demos for released Stevie songs but please give me your suggestions anyway!

The only demos and songs that haven't been re-recorded for an official release yet...or at least the ones that I think could STILL have potential, are...

1. Castaway
2. Mirror, Mirror
3. Baby Doll
4. Night Gallery
5. Cecelia
6. Maker Of Birds
7. Spinning Wheels (Christian)
8. Love You Enough
9. China Doll
10. Julia
11. Forest Of The Black Roses
12. Joan Of Arc
13. Forsaken Love
14. Impossible Task
15. Sanctuary
16. Rock A Bye Baby
17. The Charmed Ones
18. Have No Heart
19. Something Exquisite
20. Space Needle

The ones in BOLD are my personal favorites. Hope that helps. In the world of Stevie-fandom, one person's "holy grail" is another person's "trash", and vice versa. I get a lot of flack on here for enjoying demos like "Night Gallery" or "Rock A Bye Baby". I hear the potential, even though the demos themselves are kind of considered "hot messes". But if you hear the demos for "Secret Love" and (ESPECIALLY) "Mabel Normand" and then hear the finished product, you'll see what I mean when I say that I listen to some of my favorite demos with their "potential" in mind.

Smile at you has been released on Say you will. I take it you include also songs that turned out very different or has been released as B-sides.
My personal playlist includes:

Buckingham Nicks-White album:
After the glitter fades
Cathouse blues
Candlebright
Garbo
Goldfish and Ladybug
Sorcerer
That's alright
Think about it
Without you

Rumours:
The chain acoustic version
Planets of the universe

Tusk:
All the king's horses
If you ever did believe
Secret love
Smile at you
The Dealer Take 3 With Walter Egan

Bella Donna:
Baby Doll
Blue lamp outtake vocal (the fifth if I remember well)
Castaway
Gypsy
How still my love Jazz take (the second)
Julia
Lady from the mountains
So sad
The Highwayman take with Don Henley

Mirage:
Smile at you take 1
Smile at you take 2

Wild Heart:
Destiny
Julia
Sable on blonde
Violet and blue

Rock a little:
All over you (with Prince)
Battle of the dragon
Joan of arc
Priest of nothing
Mirror mirror
Night gallery
Welcome to the room Sara
Whole lotta trouble

Tango in the night:
Joan of arc
Juliet

The other side of the mirror:
At the fair
Beautiful ghost
Dial the number
Don't treat me like a stranger
Impossible task
Prettiest girl in the world
Takes a long time
Tragedy of one's own soul

Street angel:
Inspiration
Mirror mirror
Playing in God's garden
Thousand days
Whole lotta trouble

Trouble in Shangri-La:
Annabel Lee
Call on me for magic
Have no heart
My heart
Space needle
Thrown down with Lindsey
Twisted

Highlighted are my all time favourites.

Ha, I've listened to the demo of Julia, the one where Stevie is saying she wrote it that night and all. I honestly thought it was a bit of mess. But I'm sure there are better demos out there that I just haven't listened to. The lyrics were nice so maybe she cleaned it up.

This would be great! Maybe she will release something before that 24k tour next year.

I know, but I meant the demo of it. I have only listened to the ones on youtube, the angry one and then the one where she layers her voice at the end (which I think is tusk or mirage era). They were gorgeous!

Thank you for that list! This will keep me for a while.

Recently I uploaded all my four versions of smile at you on this thread: http://ledge.fleetwoodmac.net/showthread.php?t=55391

Check on this page, it's the largest and most inclusive list of Stevie Nicks and Fleetwood Mac Demos and Outtakes but due to the high number of downloads it shuts down periodically: http://stevienicksivorykeys.blogspot.it/
It went down the week before the last so in the next few months will be rebuilt.

Cool, thanks.

Ironically, I had just found out about that ivory keys site the day that it shut down. Ha! But I will totally check it out when it comes back up.

I understand, but you're lucky that Welcomechris' page also has tons of demos even if it's less flashy: http://fleetwoodmacfans.blogspot.it/
