Default Your "Holy Grail"...

Today, on her Tumblr blog, Shel posted a picture of the 3D photo of Stevie that was only sold during the Wild Heart tour. She called it her "Holy Grail" that she would own one day...(and I truly believe you WILL, Shel)

It got me thinking about what MY "Holy Grail" of Stevie fandom would be. I must admit I don't own a lot of Stevie merch. I have a few old tour shirts and a few lithographs I have yet to frame. I was able to find the same style of Blue Lamp last year and was lucky enough to score the British LP of "TOSOTM" with the hologram...but that's about it.

I guess the REAL "Holy Grail" for me would be finding a recording of my very first Stevie concert, which was the "Wild Heart" tour in Knoxville, TN. Sadly, I have never seen it anywhere so I don't think it exists. I do have HOPE though that some fan has it stashed away and will one day share it with the world. After all, I thought for YEARS that we'd never hear anything from Fritz or Buckingham Nicks live...and THOSE recordings finally surfaced, so who knows? I'm not giving up.

What's YOUR "Holy Grail"?

I long ago stopped collecting stuff from my various interests. I detest clutter, and don't generally keep things I don't regularly use. That being said, one day I would really love to have an authentic "blue lamp." I have a gorgeous 1930s era blue slag glass lamp that's been a great substitute for years, but I'd love to have something closer to the real deal. And I could justify buying something like that because it's a functioning lamp- I'd use it every day.

I'd like to have the soundboard bootlegs of Santa Barbara (1976), Atlanta (1980) and East Rutherford (1982).

Or some of Stevie's clothes.

I too would love the Blue Lamp. I would also love to own an original polaroid/self portrait. Or perhaps a demo cassette like the ones she gave to her friends.

Edit: And everything that SisterNightroad said!

Ditto. Not only have I stopped for these reasons, but when I hit my thirties I embraced a different outlook/approach to decorating my home. And suddenly I no longer had the desire to adorn it in "memorabilia" or keep it looking like the bedroom of a music and film obsessed teenager.

Which is probably the reason I haven't had my Crystal Visions, IYD or 24KG lithographs framed. I would never display them. It would be a waste of money.

And that makes me question why I even bought them in the first place. Chalk it up to another one of those "impulse purchases" of something I just "had to have!!!"

Side note - for those hunting down the Blue Lamp. Google Edward Miller or Bradley Hubbard Slag Glass Lamp and you might have some luck finding one. I see them on eBay and Pinterest on occasion. I've even seen them in different colors.

I've seen your Blue Lamp and it's quite the beauty!
I guess my Holy Grail would be the numerous Stevie posters I have in my home studio. Always a great source of musical inspiration.

I'm the same way. My decorating taste became more refined around the time I hit 30. I do still have a couple of my favorite vintage Mac posters/albums up on my walls, but they are components of larger wall collages of unrelated items.

Thanks for reminding me of those lamp makers. I could no longer remember who made Stevie's. Hopefully I'll eventually find one that isn't too absurdly priced.

I'm not as into collecting memorabilia as I used to be but for some strange reason I've always wanted one of those matchbooks from Stevie's wedding that used to be sold on eBay

My runner up "Holy Grail" item would be a perfect recording of the Melbourne 1980 live recording of Sara. It's my favorite one and even the best recordings I have are just okay.

My main "Holy Grail" would be a perfect recording of Castaway from the Uncirculated Rumors album. The one with the keyboard, drum machine, bass and vocal overdubs. The only recording I can find of it is from that record. There are a bunch of great recordings from the master reels but nobody seems to have the original of that one from UR. It's so cool but it sounds like it was made from a tenth generation cassette copy that had been left at the bottom of a swimming pool for about a week and then trampled by a rabid wildebeest.

But Melbourne soundboard is already circulating, do you mean you want a first generation copy?

I used to have one of those pewter "unisex" (yeah, right) Dragon "S" necklaces that were available from either WB or her "official store" back when TISL came out. But it was stolen from me by one of my ex douchebags. I'd love to find another.

So seeing as how there was a 3D photo from the Wild Heart tour and a hologram from TOSOTM, did she ever release any special items for Bella , RAL or SA?

BD - ???
WH - 3D Tour photo
RAL - ???
TOSOTM - Hologram
SA - ???
TISL - Dragon necklace
IYD - Lithograph (lame)
24KG - Photobook with deluxe version CD

My purple t-shirt that I purchased at the White Winged Dove (Bella Donna) tour. It's almost 35 years old (older than most of you reading this post, I bet ) and very worn and threadbare. I only wear it to Stevie/Fleetwood Mac concerts now and I only hand wash it. I think it was supposed to be a woman's t, but I really liked it. I'm glad I have it It reminds me of a loooooooooooooooooong time ago.
