I think Stevie always had a house in Scottsdale (I mean even after her parents moved). She lived somewhere in Camelback in the 1970s after her surgery, because she once said she recuperated there and wrote "Gold Dust Woman."

The interior of the mansion on "Bella Donna" looks so Stevie Nicks. Hard to believe it isn't hers.

Another minor mystery is what John Stewart might have meant when he thanked her for the "use of her wall."

I would love for someone to ask her... I bet she'd remember.

not a mystery. Herbie took a photo in her house that was used on the back cover of his album "Bombs Away Dream Babies" (the one that had Gold and Midnight Wind, songs on which she sang). There's a pic of his white guitar against a rounded white door with small glass panes around it (much like the rounded windows in the Bella Donna sleeve photo. Dunno if same house or not).

She said in an interview that that door was the door to the room Sharon moved into when she came over from Hawaii after first meeting Stevie and Stevie invited her to be in her solo band. She called the room her "library".

Anyone have any idea how that came about? Makes you wonder, did he seek her out, given that hey there's this wildly popular young female singer and... Ugh, sorry, no doubt I'm not the only one thinking this though... Even setting aside the scandal, how random is that, Bill Cosby and Stevie? Weird.
I think you are the only one thinking this. Renting a house is a not an unusual business agreement. I doubt that Bill Crosby was casually coming by and hanging out while they working. Chances are that they never saw him.

There is a very prominent street called Gold Dust Avenue in the Camelback area. I find it hard to believe there isn't a connection.
Wasn't there a photo of a beautiful wall on one of Stew's records? Or am I thinking of Walter Egan? Or just imagining the whole thing...

I hope you're right but TimeCast is not the only one thinking it. The guy is a sexual predator IMO and it's not out of the realm of possibility. Like I said, I hope he never went anywhere near the girls. I'm sure he was aware of who was renting his house.

Thanks for saying this, because I couldn't help the thought. I also doubt anything happened but I would also assume she likely had to have had known him at least somewhat, like I said, controversy with Cosby or not, i really wonder how it is she ended up renting his house. Occurs to me now he could have had it up on the market and they never met but my original thought was her renting it because she knew him somehow and liked the house or whatever... We definitely know Stevie has tons of famous friends and the celebrity world is a rather small world of its own, so I guess I given how many celeb friendships we've heard of Stevie having and all, my mind went there first, and not specifically of the bill Cosby stuff going on (and I agree, sounds like he's got a very dark side to him, to put it as kindly as possible). So that's really more of what was going through my head, it's not, in opinion so unrealistic to think it's very possible they knew and even spent time with one another at some point. I realize now, obviously renting someone's house doesn't have to mean that but that possibility has slipped my mind the first time around. I assume the Cosby stuff is what made the original poster bring this up in the first place, hence further explaining my thoughts. I would of course never wish or want that horror to happen to anyone.

From what his victims have said, he put a lot of time and effort into pursuing them.
The thought about the liner note just crossed my mind. And I can't speak for anyone else but even if I was wealthy and had a bunch of houses, I think I would have a pretty good idea as to who was living in them. I would have to agree with whomever pointed out earlier that those are Stevie's furnishings. They're so her. I wonder how long they actually lived there? It was a good call by Herbie to shoot there. The place definitely made for good photographs. I also wondered if it is featured in the commentary for Crystal Visions where Stevie and Lori are dancing? It would certainly fit the time period.
