![]() Lindsey was in that agitated state he was in for all the Go Insane interviews. He was wired and almost twitching, talk about Lindsey at his weirdest. It was a great interview and Charlie was a fan back then too and knew about Lindsey's behind the scene's talents, when no one else seemed to care. |

......I was surprised how whiney, swishy, gay-like Buckingham sounded when he was interviewed by Rose. Kinda like a classical musician. Was he like this in '84, too? He looks so macho on stage......
Nicks always sounds so butch in her interviews, quite mannish, actually. But on stage she looks feminine. What good actors they both are...... I am really shocked........ |

Now there's a new take on Lindsey and Stevie, I've never heard anyone say Lindsey was swishy gay-like and I have to admit I'm rolling about Stevie sounding butch. Oh, in 84 he was actually quite agitated and twitchy, does that make him butch or gay swishy...not that there's anything wrong with that! LOL |

...when Buck prolongs the syllables in his words it sounds effeminate to me.....like "yeah-es....." along with the excessive eye-blinking "packaged deal." He used to wear eye makeup I see, when only "questionable" musicians were wearing it. (Jagger, who slept with Bowie, etc.)
...when Nicks on the radio is sandwiched in between clear-voices of....let's say..Nora Jones and Faith Hill.....she sounds masculine...and ancient! In interviews for SAY YOU WILL she sounds mannish. Not just "alto," but "bass." She has an extremely low voice, rather than just deep and sexy. |

As for Stevie, she's always had a deep voice and I only find it funny about refering to her as butch since she's considered and is so feminine and girly, it's hard to think of her as anything else but feminine . |

She sounds sexy to me. I must have an identity crisis. I guess I'm gay & never knew it. It's like they always say, G-d invented Adam and Eve, not Adam and Stevie. And I'm looking forward to Butch Angel, her upcoming album. - Jake

Another thread slips into the realm of the absurd.
I like Stevie's talking voice. It's never bothered me. As for Lindsey, he is disarmingly charming when he speaks. I'm sure he catches a lot of interviewers by surprise the first time. And if he wants to wear mascara again, go for it. |

Hey Les,
I didn't mean that Lindsey WAS evil, he just was sly--I can't describe it. He had this evil grin most of the time I do remember that. He described he and Stevie as great lovers but as competitors and when Rose asked if he was jealous, I honestly can't remember his answer. Lindsey had every right to wear the expression he did, but now-a -days he would handle things so much differently. I have alot of 1984 footage, most of it Lindsey just seems on edge and not terribly happy. The Pee Wee Big Top premiere he is happy but everything else he seems nervous and just tired of hearing the same thing...Stevie...Fleetwood Mac...and in one interview when they asked " any plans for FM" and he was like " none at all!" He was not amused. He is a different man now and back then its just uneasy for ME to watch him be how he is --but its mostly understandable because he was going through alot. I haven't seen this interview ( now I can---thanks, plus you can order the video for $30) but Im sure he just carries himself differently. As for Stevie's "butch" voice, she still is ultra feminine. I mean she probably burps and makes noises like all of us, but as low as her voice maybe and as light hearted as her conversation can be, and as silly as she can get, I can't imagine her being crude, too much girlie in her!

The interview from the other night wasn't particularly good, but it was a million times better than a ****ty "Did the success of Rumours catch you off-guard?" Dateline interview. It was a missed opportunity indeed. As for Stevie being butch and Lindsey being feminine, 4buck has a problem with overanalyzing things. It's absurd and ridiculous and very off-putting to people who like posting. How pathetic. ![]()
