Stevie Nicks Over the last several years, I pulled out a song from Shangrila to end my set that is called "Love Is" which I had never done on stage before. That song, I thought was a reall super special song to do live. We're not doing it now because I'm in Fleetwood Mac , but something about it caused a connection where the audience, and almost me were in tears when I would sing that song!

Well, that's absolutely true. She had me all choked up at the 5/26/11 Wiltern Show when she sang that. I was really close to the stage, dead center and I swear she sang a few verses right to me, which made it worse. She must have seen me (and obviously others) while doing this song at various times, hence her answer above.

Sigh... she melts my heart.

I think the Q & A went pretty well overall. At least we found out a few newer things.

The other thing that was good was that she saw that clearly there is an interest in her touring for 24k!!

Daisy Buchanan Hi, my question for you is: In the song "Seven Wonders", you mention a girl named Emmaline. Does she have any connection to the spirit of your Sara?

PS... Thank you for opening up the world to magic through your stories. And for saving so many people through your songs. Love always

Stevie Nicks This is the ONE line I wrote in that song. My friend Sandy wrote the song and she didn't say Emmaline, but I thought she said that, and she hadn't... and I had become so attached to the name Emmaline, that we kept it in, and she gave me a small percentage
THANK GOD this was finally put to rest. So sick of hearing about how Stevie bullied her way into a writing credit.

Why didn't she give the percentage back?

Because it was gift. They are friends, and I don't understand why it should matter to anyone.

I don't buy that for a minute. Stories at the time were pretty clear she was coked out and full of herself at the time it happened. I'm sure she feels a bit embarrassed by it all now, and is putting some gentler spin on it-- which I don't necessarily blame her for doing.

I know plenty of people won't believe it, and that's fine.

Well, at least we now know the reason for the lyric "I sit not in flight… Hidden, not in sight" and it makes a hell of a lot more sense now...coming from a ladybug's point of view. Haha!

We could have a whole thread dedicated to how ridiculous some of the questions were. One person didn't seem to realize Stevie and Christine are not the same person, asking how it was to be back with the band after 17 years. Another person asked to be given concert tickets because they are so expensive. Someone else asked her to write down the lyrics to GYOW (!), autograph the lyrics, take a picture of herself with the autographed lyrics, and email it back. And of course......someone asked the question about the roadie and the cocaine. People never cease to amaze.

I know! Someone said "sorry, I don't know who you are". I'm always amazed at the fact some people seem to have so much free time while I have so little.

Oh my goodness. It totally does. But now I will always think of the song a little less romantically.

Stevie Nicks Gives Good Facebook: The Rocker on Fashion, Klonopin and Moving to Paris

Posted on 11/5/2014 2:26:00 PM by Stephan Horbelt Frontiers L.A.

The wtichy queen of rock 'n' roll, Stevie Nicks, took to Facebook for a live Q&A session today, treating her fans to stories about all sorts of topics, from her solo career and daily beauty regimen to her puppy Sulamith. Nicks—currently on tour with a recently reunited Fleetwood Mac (and coming to L.A. later this month)—answered the questions put before her, getting as candid as she's ever been. Here are some highlights:

On her bucket list destination

"Living in Paris for six months to a year at some point in my life!"

On her biggest regret
"The afternoon I walked into a psychiatrists office, and he prescribed Klonopin for me, which over the next 8 years, nearly destroyed my life. That's my only real regret."

On the inspiration behind Fleetwood Mac hit "Landslide"
"I was making a decision whether or not Lindsey and I should break-up, and if I should go off on my own or if I should stay in the relationship, and I decided that the music was more important, so I decided that I wasn't going to leave the relationship. I was going to stay and do the music with him."

On her favorite memory of working with Tom Petty
"In I think it was 2007, I went on tour with him, was only supposed to do seven shows, ended up doing 27 shows, and it was his 30th anniversary. He rented me a jet, and I took my assistant and my makeup artist, and my goddaughter who does teleprompters, so it was just four of us. We were on the road together, and I got to sing six songs onstage. One of the best times of our life! SO much fun."

On skincare and looking awesome
"When I first joined Fleetwood Mac, I realized I would really have to take very special care of my face. NEVER go to bed with your makeup on. You wash your face and use your moisturizer in the morning, and you do the same thing at night. If you're me and totally drunk, crawl into the bathroom and wash your face. In addition, i stopped laying in the sun when I was 30, and then I never did it again. Staying out of the sun is major, and getting out of it- my skin fixed itself. All the damage left. Care for your skin!"

On a favorite Fleetwood Mac song
"I don't really have a favorite. Each song took so much time and thought, from all 3 writers, that I don't really have 1 favorite. I have a bunch of favorites!"

On what she's listening to these days
"Right now I am listening to Haim, whom I think are going to be a huge force in rock n' roll. I'm listening to the new Lady Antebellum album called 747, and I'm really good friends with them, so I'm very proud of this album. I try to give new music as much time as I have, but I don't have that much time!"

Check out Stevie Nicks' full Facebook Q&A here, and catch her with Fleetwood Mac at The Forum later this month!

This reminds me, I want to know why Tom Petty rented her a jet of her own….. no chicks on the band bus/plane?? He didn't want the rumours, like when he told her to not come to his SF shows? He didn't want to listen to her yapping when they were offstage?? I mean, renting a private jet ain't no small change...
