Are First Section Side Views Any Good?

There's a few shows I'm looking at (and as we all seem to know, seats in the front of the stage and close have been hard to come by unless you want to spend WAY above face value, which I'm not). I have noticed a few seats in the first section on the side of the stage (to the left of Lindsey) in the first few rows. Are these normally decent seats? They seem like they'd probably be pretty good??? Any advice would be great!!

I have sat side stage on Lindsey's side at least twice in the last year and it was a great experience. You get to see things you don't normally notice such as the workings of the crew and other band movement you don't catch otherwise. If you are directly to the side, you can also see Stevie going back and forth from her tent as she does her wardrobe changes. I love that spot.

I like the side seats, too. My last two shows have been in the first section on Lindsey's side. It's a good way to get pretty close to the stage, and Lisa is right--there's a lot of fun and interesting activity to see. We saw all of Lindsey's guitars last night in the case, and we saw the guitar tech switching them out every song. Also Stevie usually comes over to wave, and sometimes Lindsey has a little interaction with us, too. It's starting to be a place that I really like to sit--largely for the reason you said...it's close to the stage, AND it isn't hundreds of dollars over face value. Oh, and it's really fun to see what the band is seeing.

For folks thinking about these seats for future shows, here is my experience. I had row 1 section 115 at the second Philly show. That is Lindsey’s side right at the front corner. There was a huge speaker right in front of me. If I was seated, I could only see Mick and the top of Lindsey’s head. I had to stand the whole show. The two rows behind me had the same issue so I was not being told to sit down. The tickets did not state obstructed view.

I’d caution those getting seats in the first three rows to make sure you’re out in front of the stage and not on the corner.

I pulled some side section/borderline behind stage-front, row 6 today for the Dec 2 show, but it said "may be obstructed" so I didn't get them. They were full, top tier price ($226 each). Not about to pay that much to see the back of them, not to mention not being able to see the big monitors either.

Good God these prices are crazy. I'm just gonna keep waiting for tickets to drop, which I've never done before. Also, maybe I can haggle a broker 1-2 days before the show. Have any of you tried that?

I went to the Garden show in Boston on 8/25 thinking those pricy ticketmaster seats wouldnt sell and the prices would drop but when I went to the box office that afternoon around 2pm all tickets were sold out then I asked about the premium tickets and if those were available and would/did the ticket price drop but no tickets available all sold out. I went to a broker and they only had a few tickets left and they were pretty confident that they would sell at the inflated price but I could check back right before the show which I did and those all sold as well so I just waited til about 815 and bought a $206.00 ticket for $125, they wanted face value at first but I said "what are you gonna do with that ticket at home, the show already started and you still have it so $125 is better than wiping ur ass with it", I made the guy walk me to the door and get the ticket scanned so I know it wasnt bogus and then I gave him the money, he really didnt want to do that as scalping isnt legal but I wasnt gonna be out $125 after I drove from the cape just for the show and was driving home that same night

That is a good side to be on, Lindsey's side. He hangs over there a lot & he will turn towards the audience to that side & the front. He did in Philly. Of course, I was on the opposite side, but he does move from one side to the other, though not as much as the last tour, I guess because Christine is over there.

Jeez-louise. These tickets aren't going to drop are they? Not this tour. Damn you, Christine!! (kidding)
Part of me is thinking of skipping it altogether, but I know I'd be dying that I wasn't there the night of the show.

I have the money - it's the principal of it all that I'm having trouble with. Is it worth THAT MUCH??
