That says all I ever need to know about you.

Because Mick has clearly done wrong by his daughters.

Mick has said he did wrong by Amy and Lucy and regrets it. He's too busy, too old and has too many children (and he's a grandpa as well) to start another family. It wouldn't be fair to anyone.

I can't figure out what you are trying to say here.

Do you think people are saying he SHOULD have more kids, or that it would be great if he did? NO ONE in this thread has said that. We're all saying god forbid he have more kids. One way not to have more kids is to get snipped (half joking) and one way is to have an age-appropriate girlfriend who would be past the age of reproducing (given that would mainly be a woman in her 50s-60s). The reason we don't think he should reproduce ever again is precisely because he wasn't a great father to the kids (or certainly not the older kids) he already has.

Not to mention that if he has more kids now, we are for certain doomed to be bombarded with ever more Rumours schlock reissues and books and greatest hits tours so he can pay for them all.

The procedure would probably improve his drumming as well, so two birds with one stone. Or, in this case, two stones, two birds. Michele

Just got back from Mick's signing in NYC. He talked about the tour's success and basically said they can't even add enough shows to meet the demand. I didn't catch all his conversations but he was saying to somebody that they'll probably schedule even more shows and be coming back around as soon as they complete all the ones they have scheduled already for next year. Looks like this is a never ending tour or something.

and yet you commented on the quality of his parenting.

I never understand people who come into fan forums and then don't like it when other fans talk about all sorts of stuff regarding the artist(s) in question. Mick wrote a bio that goes into all sorts of personal stuff. Why shouldn't we discuss??

Come back around? This already IS them coming back around. They just toured last year. They won't be any less successful if they take a break long enough to complete an album and then tour the album. Then they can have their tour money and still feel artistically fulfilled.

The new album is officially out the window now.

Stevie will put a stop to this!

By the end of the 2015 shows she will have done FM for 3 years in a row she will take time off...

They probably will ride this cash cow for as long as they possibly can and the album will most likely never be properly finished. I imagine the material will be indeed released, but not as a formal album...probably some sort of "Sessions" CD so if Stevie never participates, it's not being sold as a Fleetwood Mac album sans Stevie. They don't have ten years to do these things anymore, a sad reality that I'm not sure they fully realize themselves.

On the flip side, I also don't see all members of the band agreeing to a never ending tour, compared to (dare I say) The Eagles. I think Christine and Lindsey will want to finish the album but there will be huge pressures of continuing with touring as it's financially more sound than any amount of time put into an album. There's possible conflict here, I would imagine. Classic big machine vs. small machine.

I also can't help but think of recent quotes by Tom Petty when he talks about people in the industry making decisions based purely on financial reasons when in reality, it "won't affect a single day of their lives if they made another million or not"

Certainly true for the songwriters in FM.

Might have more of an impact for Mick.

Where is Lindsey's insistence on artistic growth?? I would hope Christine would support that too. Mick has been paying lip service to it in interviews up to now, saying Lindsey's role has been to keep them on a path of artistic growth, blah blah blah. Guess that loud ringing of the cash register drowns that out.

I was thinking of the Rolling Stones' book coming out soon for $150. I would buy a book like that from FM. I would not pay $5000 for a signed copy though.
