wait wait, Mick is still hoping??????

wasn't that past tense??

no, hoping as in present tense is impossibility, just ask many of the chiffs on this board. they know better than Mick.

he's just stirring the pot.

(although completely unclear what reason would he have to stir that pot and potentially make SN mad?? but i'm sure chiffs will come up with thousands of reasons. cause you know, Mick is always the bad guy. )

I don't consider myself a chiff and I don't consider saying Mick is "stirring the pot" to make him a bad guy either. Some people in this band need a fire under their tushes from time to time in order for anything to get done. Whatever it takes, Mick. Just get us a freakin album before y'all kick.

Yes, Mick is stirring the pot because Stevie hasn't committed to an album. If she'd committed, he wouldn't have to keep saying they are hoping and praying. He's definitely trying to put her on the defensive, get the media to question her non-participation and spur a result. It's the same thing he did with the Playboy Interview, when he claimed he thought the band was over. He never thought that, but he did think that Stevie was failing to commit to a tour. He took steps to make her commit and now he's taking steps to, hopefully, make her commit to an album.

I'd tell you how dismissive and disrespectful that is (when one wants one's own opinions to be respected, it's usually not a great idea to dismiss those of others), but I'm sure you'll just tell me it was all meant in jest.

Good thing we avoided that, right?

For the record, he added that "finding time with the tour" is tricky. Perhaps his hopefulness isn't all resting on the Wicked Welsh Witch of the West's shoulders.

Yeah, because it couldn't be a PR ploy designed to benefit Stevie in the band.

You're right it couldn't. People don't usually start their PR ploys a year in advance of album HOPES.
