I always thought Stevie looked uncomfortable during the show. I used to watch the show all the time and the entertainers would let the fan spend time with them all over the place. I thought it was crass for Stevie to just invite her to sit on a small chair somewhere backstage for a quick interview. Almost like..."my time is important to me, lets get this over with"

Yeah! In that same episode, Brian Adams invited his "fanatic" over to his house for the interview, and they even took a dip in Brian's pool!

Miss Nicks would NEVER do anything like that.

I just remembered the most odd thing from the interview. Remember the fan asked Stevie what were her favorite Christine and Lindsey song and Stevie could not name a Lindsey song. Didn't the girl have to throw Stevie a lifeline by suggesting Stephanie? I just remember it being very odd like Stevie could not think of any Lindsey songs.
Even funnier was when the girl brought Stevie this giant bouquet of flowers and Stevie's face was like "what in the world am I going to do with these." Too bad we cant find the link. Maybe there is a reason no one can find it because it is so ackward.

Wow, thank you so much for posting. Great to see it again after all these years. Stevie was so young LOL. I get a kick out of the meeting is in some wardrobe room and Stevie does not even get up from the chair to welcome her. Not the most welcoming to say the least but still loved this segment.

I just watched and yes it was awkward that Stevie didn't stand but she doesn't on The Voice when someone hugs her or when she visited the set of Glee either (after her initial speech). Once the conversation started it was very sweet IMO and I thought it was funny that she said that Lindsey "doesn't care about words or names".

Thank you for the video! I thought it was weird at first but she was so sweet that I guess it made up for greeting the girl kind of coldly.

I think after all that girl went through a big hug at the end would have been appropriate.
A few things in Stevie's defense is that she was on tour and did not have much time or a fancy house to visit. But the fan had to come to her small wardrobe room and she would not even get up and hug her. I also think it is odd that Stevie never asks her any questions or communicates with the fan. Where are you from? Did you see the show? etc. I would not say Stevie was annoyed but it did look like something she had to do and had no interest in it. Stevie could have given her a gift or something.

I don't know... Being invited into Stevie's dressing room is pretty special. My ex-roomie who's friends with Liz Rosenberg's niece was invited to hang out with Stevie during the TISL tour. Stevie was pretty chill and even allowed them to smoke a bowl in the room, though Stevie herself did not take part in it.

The VH1 filmings are little more structured and filmed over and over again to get the right angle, lighting, etc. I think this goes along with Stevie not really enjoying making music videos (e.g. sitting around doing the same thing over and over again).
