Default Getting things signed from the stage

I haven't seen much discussion about this, but does anyone have experience with anyone from the band signing something during the concert?

Last year before my concert date, I heard about someone bringing a copy of BN that Lindsey signed before handing it to Stevie to sign, too. I tried doing the same thing, but it didn't turn out the way I imagined. I was afraid my BN sleeve would get bent, so I brought a Fireflies 7" single picture sleeve and hoped Lindsey would get Stevie to sign it as well. Well, two girls beside me were taller than me and closer to Lindsey, so they gave it to him for me at the end of Mick's solo. Needless to say, only Lindsey signed it - which is still awesome! It was the only thing he signed - but now I have a picture sleeve from a Stevie song with Lindsey's autograph on it.

So, has anyone else here had luck with getting autographs from the stage, a set list, or one of Lindsey's picks?

I got my cd copy of Seeds We Sow signed by Lindsey last year! I doubt Stevie would sign anything unless prompted by Lindsey.

I would say you have a better chance of getting christine or lindsey to sign than Stevie. Stevie is very phobic about people selling her autograph on ebay which is why she insists on personalizing everything she signs.

Yeah you can easily get Lindsey to sign things for you he signed a ticket for me in the past with no issues at all. I just ran up and handed it to him - ha! He is so cool like that I have asked him for a handshake, to play his guitar for a second and for a pick and its funny I got all of them except for a pick. He threw it at me and I dropped it and you all know how that goes people go insane for those things. Its not worth fighting over it that is for sure -ha!
Stevie on the other hand wont even acknowledge you unless you are at a solo show of her's and you can get to shake her hand during the Edge walk. I have been right at her feet numerous times and she just doesn't even go that route she just is in her own little world -ha ha!
Good luck to you!!

@BigAl: When Stevie did the signing in NYC at Barnes and Noble for her DVD/CD release that year, unfortunately none of those were personalized, as I understood it, because it would take all night if she personalized the entire 500 or so people who showed up. Pity that she couldn't, but I wonder if she worried that all 500 of those people would later sell the autographs....

Still, that was probably the only time I will ever get her signature, so I am grateful nonetheless!!

But when during the show can you get him to sign? Isn't he pretty much playing through the entire show? In between songs and Mick's solo...is there really that much time and he's close to fans? Still, it's nice to hear he interacts with fans. I wonder what's up Stevie's ass that she can't acknowledge or even look at the people closest to the stage. And somebody managed to get Christine's signature? How?

You can get him in between songs but best time is in between encores. Lindsey is the best he just loves to interact with thd fans! I really just think Stevie pays no attention.

I have only seen Lindsey sign things from the stage. He has signed things for me from the stage on a couple of occasions. I have never had luck with any other member of the band signing things from the stage.

When I had my single signed, we showed it to Lindsey during World Turning. He saw it, mouthed "I'll do it later" and signed it after the song ended. The girls beside me threw the sleeve and a Sharpie on the stage beside his mic stand so it would be easier for him to sign. We were right in front of him so he handed it back to us with no problem.

In 2009 I saw him signing some things after the last song, IIRC. So I'd say the best time is around the end of World Turning or sometime during the encore. Just make sure he sees you and that you're close enough to reach him. Luck helps, too.

I had my Tusk album signed last year when I was front row.

I first held it up when he was talking about Tusk and he pointed it out & said something to the audience about it..... so when they came back out for the encores I held it up again against the stage with a pen and he came over and signed it. There were other people with albums trying to get noticed, but if I recall correctly mine was the only one he grabbed that night - I think it's all just random/luck of the draw/whatever they feel like. If we hadn't have had that interaction earlier in the show I don't think he would have signed it.

lol yeah that is true -ha! the last show they did in Pittsburgh I was at the front of the stage in front of Stevie the entire time and sometimes during a song that she wasn't signing lead on she was bent over just staring at the floor. my hubby and I were like what the hell is she doing? i almost thought she lost a contact but then remembered she had eye surgery all those years ago so she doesn't wear them -ha!!

She also has had two tele-prompters with the lyrics in REALLY big print in front of her on the stage, so that she doesn't forget the words.

Looks like Stevie took a BN record from someone and signed it last night in Pittsburgh. There's a picture of it in the thread for the Pittsburgh show.
