This is great! I love this clip.

I'm imagining all the clips we've heard so far and thinking this album is going to be rich with texture. All of her albums have texture, but they're usually the ballad/rock-type textures. IYD has some Dave Stewart-influenced funkiness and that was great too. I love Stevie's jazzier compositions and would love to hear her do more good ol' fashioned blues too. I'm so excited for this new album! The Instagram clips was a fantastic idea.

Totally and thoroughly SURPRISED at how amazing this song sounds! I'm usually not keen on standards, jazz or vaudeville...but this one had me snapping my fingers and humming along. She sounds spot on! The harmonies with the girls is killer (and seems to help Stevie's "higher register" play out a little more "pleasing" ~ even though there's a slight strain, which makes it all the more endearing) and last but not least, she's only singing this song ONE NOTE LOWER than the original demo!!! I thought for sure there would be a really dramatic lower key change, but there's not.

Ok, it took a minute. BUT, I am now officially ECSTATIC about "24 Karat Gold" !!! I LOVE LOVE LOVE this snippet of "Cathouse Blues". It has ALWAYS been one of my favorite demos.........and I'm so happy that it's made the record. I can't WAIT to hear the full version.

I love the original, and I think I'm going to love this version too. Cool

BTW, here is my guess for how the arrangement on the CD will be.

After "but she's awake and night and she'll be gone" they will do a solo, then do a repeat of "Blue gray, eyes that say" until "but she's awake and night and she'll be gone" again, and then to go the end, just like in the original version. In other words, if the "blue gray" part is the chorus, then they will just add a solo and a repeat of the chorus after the first chorus. It'll be the shortest track on the CD at around 2:30.

That's my guess. Of course, knowing Stevie, she wrote 10 other verses, Sharon found them on a reel to reel in an old trunk, and now the song clocks in at 8:56

I love this!

This whole album seems to have an atmosphere that a Stevie Nicks album hasn't had before, and it's very authentic. I am loving all the reality of her voice, and how intimate the vocals sound on every song so far. Like she's up front, right there. Like a demo.

I like the sound of this snippet so much more than the demo! It also leaves me feeling that this is going to be a very diverse set of song styles which is wonderful. I love that her voice is so prominent in the mix for each song.

The vocal sounds good. It always makes me smile when I can hear some tones of her old voice.

Lol. Don't forget the 9-minute vocal ad-lib. Seriously though, the harmonies and percussion are a nice touch. So far, so good.

I made a mistake earlier. Upon further inspection, and repeated listenings, it seems that Stevie is indeed singing the song in the same exact key as the original demo!!! AMAZING!!!
