Very impressive . A good song for us fans. Any accolades that Stevie receives from this song and this album will be icing on the cake.

Wow, I would never have thought of that, but you're right on! What an astute , far flung observation! It sounds like late sixties, early seventies Elton. Amazing!

That's exactly what I was thinking, Kenny Rogers! Knocking on Doors is the key emphasis, and the obvious title, so leave it to Stevie for throwing the odd curve ball and entitling it the tepid 'Lady." Yuck.

Angry

Warner Brothers and I are not on good terms right now > : (

Pre-ordered the Lithograph bundle the day it was available. Then last night I get an email saying they canceled my pre-order because they tried to put an authorization hold on my bank account again (even though they did it already) and the money was not in there at that moment as I had bills to pay and get paid this tuesday. So I lost my lithograph and I am both angry as a hornet and sad because I wanted one sooooo bad.

However, just having been able to hear this song today I am contented for the moment.

I showed the cover art to one of my family members who saw the title "Lady" and the photo and quipped "well she's not exactly SITTING like a lady now is she?"

I don't know what their deal is. They've done this authorization business a full three times to my card so far. They keep going away and coming back - like bank herpes.

Is anyone else actually in the possession of the cover yet? Or is it just me...

I had the same thing happen to me! But the thing is, I had no bank issues whatsoever! I was so pissed off. And there was no obvious way to contact them! Warner sucks!

I reordered from another site. But I'm still pissed about it.

I think they can only keep a pending charge on your account for 10 days. So, they will keep re-authorizing it, until the album actually comes out.

Thats what was happening in my case! But eventually the 80 bucks I kept in the account for them to habitually authorize over and over was needed for an emergency bill.

Yep, I emailed them but it probably will do no good. I absolutely hate dealing with them, and had it not been Stevie Nicks and the amazing Lithograph bundle I would not have lol

Its so annoying! Authorize once to make sure the account is legit. That should be all it takes. Thats how Amazon operates.

I just got home from being out with friends and away from the world of the "internets" most of the day. Around 8pm, I got on my phone and checked this forum, as me and my friend Samantha were leaving a restaurant. Found the link to the entire song. We plugged my phone into Sam's car aux output so we could hear it.

...it was a punch in the gut. Damn. We sat in silence as it played through. Over halfway through, I look at Sam, who is in tears (definitely feeling the "lyrics" and thinking about some of the heavy things going on in her personal life.) and that set off my tears. We were just silent the rest of the way home. We listened to it two more times.

I just downloaded it now from iTunes and listened a few more times with my headphones on. It's still a punch in the gut! I don't give a damn if her vocals are "strained" at parts (it's not like that's a bad thing) but this woman is singing with more passion and feeling than I've heard come out of her in A LONG TIME! She is feeling this! She is feeling this memory, these old emotions come and gone from years ago. This is the passion we all knew she still had, but has been holding back for some strange reason for so long.

I'm so glad that it's just her and a piano. Thank God it wasn't overproduced. It never needed to be. The sentiment just called for a simple melody - a fitting tune simply there to accentuate the vocal, and the conviction within.

That's all I can really say at this moment. There are so many layers to digest inside this number.

The Single cover is incredible!

I just have a very positive vibe about this record. Like it might just become my all time favorite album of hers, surpassing others that have been in my top 5 for many decades. I have sincerely been happy with every sample, every song (with maybe a little less enthusiasm for "The Dealer", which is still very enjoyable to listen to) and every picture, and every bit of merch offered thus far. It might be presumptuous of me to say this, as I still haven't heard half of the other songs, but there hasn't been anything offered up yet to indicate, at the very least, that this is a subpar effort from her. I'm more excited about this than IYD.

I'll shut the hell up now.

So beautiful and so different from what she had done. I was so thrilled for IYD and so happy for all the good reviews she had gotten but I agree with everyone who says that 24K is probably going to give her much critical acclaim. I am glad she is pushing the envelope for herself and doing something different at this time in her life. Thank God for Stevie Nicks. Still giving all that she has. Still feels she has something to prove.

The faint strain adds an appropriate shade of emotion to the song.
