I think maybe it's just that old photos are fun and the songs and photos, both from a time gone by, go together. Old songs, old photos, old memories.

I'm really starting to be in love with the tracklist. This is the first album that I've been this excited about in a very long time. I wish they would hurry up and open up pre-orders in the US so I can buy The Dealer and listen to it about 90 times in a row, lol.

Not to be a Debbie-downer, I'm not very happy. No rhiannon songs, Julia , Joan of arc, space needle or love u enough or Have No Heart. Instead Mabel Normans which is not even a song and Starshine. And if Hard Advice is what I think it is then gross. Only a couple songs I liked made it on the a album
Sorry people, feeling down |

I HATED the demo of "Secret Love" for decades, but her version on IYD is incredible and now it's one of my favorite songs! Don't dismiss the project yet. Give it at least one or two good "listens". ![]() |

I must have heard the "Mabel Normand" demo many years ago and just not retained the memory, but recently dug it up again due to a recent discussion on this forum. Well I couldn't believe what I was hearing and had to turn it off before it was finished because it truly was an assault to the ears. I'm just wondering what must have been going through Stevie's and Dave's minds when they chose to record it? Could we have just heard an embryonic demo and perhaps it did eventually evolve into an actual song? Is it more than just a coke-fuelled rant?

I don't remember if we got the tracklist for the Rumours bonus disc before it was released, but I'm just laughing thinking of what people must have speculated that Mic the Screecher was about.
Mabel Normand could have been finalized into a refreshing song or maybe it could be just a segue of sorts, giving us a little taste of the past, like Kiss and Run did. Michele |
