But seriously, that was the track I was most looking forward to, with 'Julia' being a close second.
I guess I just feel like the versions I have of those are basically complete. They're not reel-demos with no instrumentation or backgrounds. There's not talking over the mix, or missing the words. I really did expect Julia to be there anyway.

But hey, maybe she'll do a "Volume 2." Or... she had 10 songs on the last FM album, I know she won't have that many this time, but she could easily have 6 or 7 if it's a double album, as has been suggested.

AND are there going to be other bonus tracks, depending on the retailer. For instance, will Amazon have it's own bonus track?

Oh, and 'Cathouse Blues' is B-side material at best compared to some of the potential songs that could have been on here.

Just sayin'.

LOL.

That first tracklist was "almost" convincing.

I think Cathouse Blues is one of her best vocals, and I love her more country side, so one person's b-side is another person's AA side

Plus, we have no idea what she's done with it. It could be given a full musical treatment with more lyrics... who knows?

I'm sure I'll end up loving everything about this album (I always do!), but first impression is that the "leaked" tracklist from last week was... well, better?

Anyone else find it odd that the sequencing between the normal CD and the Expanded CD is really kind of schizophrenic? "The Dealer" is track 2 on the normal, and is track 15 on the expanded.

Belle Fleur ~ normal 11/expanded 6
Blue Water ~ normal 4/expanded 13

...just to give a few examples.

Do you think this was Stevie's decision? Do two songs really make the sequencing change up so drastically?

Or do you think it has to do with the length of each track, for vinyl pressing purposes? Sides A, B, C and D need to be under a specific time frame in order to sound good.

I love this! Love the tracklist, love the album cover, love the cover art for The Dealer!

Not so keen on Stevie's vocal for The Dealer, but the arrangement is excellent, and very true to the original. I'm sure I'll grow to love it.

Totally excited about Mabel Normand, All The Beautiful Worlds and She Loves Him Still!

Very curious about Hard Advice, Lady, and I Don't Care.

This, most likely.

I would be ecstatic if she did a country album/tour. But I don't think that would be a risk she is willing to run. Maybe an EP with a short little tour at some point?

It's funny. I never ever though I'd hear them do Silver Springs live. Ditto Storms. Ditto Beautiful Child. Ditto Garbo, Twisted, Gold and Braid (again), and Rose Garden. So it just goes to show you that you never know.

So here's hoping for the country CD/tour, or at least FM doing That's Alright live.

It's interesting to think of closing songs for each album side again, having it on vinyl. Just like the old days. I think Twisted is a good album closer. I don't know anything about Lady.

It all makes sense! Twisted was done live but never got a proper release!

But it did...she recorded it as a duet with Lindsey for Twister.
