Is Stevie Angry?

In the Rumours forum I posted a question about which version of Silver Springs people prefer. A lot of people said the live version because Stevie's voice sounds a little older and a little angry.

This got me thinking...is she still angry? Are there still hostilities? Or was that just the emotion of the song?

After all this time, has Stevie, along with other band member...been able to put the past behind them? Do they all get along well now?

The band... Stevie & Lindsey especially... have all worked hard to put past animosities behind them. Though they readily admit that they still have their disagreements and arguments.

They've said that the difference now, is that they're more willing to work thru the disagreements, or to at least not let them get in the way of anything.

To me, Stevie's 'Dance' performance of "Silver Springs" was along the lines of an exorcism.
She expelled a large part of her & Lindsey's past relationship demons in a very fiery performance.

I think the 'Dance' tour was cathartic for everyone in the band.

Im sure they get along just fine now. In the 80's it was pretty rough with a lot of unresolved feelings from the 70's and hard-core drug use getting in the way. Dont forget, Stevie & Lindsey pretty much fell in love again during The Dance in 97. Im sure they will always love each other and care for one another, but IMO they have moved on... but how can you not help but feel those feelings when you sing those songs?

Plus, SN has said that the drama in those songs is just onstage and not offstage now and that is what makes the music interesting.

If you could even call what happens onstage a drama; it's more like "well-rehearsed-drama."

I agree dissention- as much as I love this tour, after seeing it a few consecutive shows I thought (as I do after every Stevie or Mac tour that I have seen more than once): how can these people repeat everything - from the little talks before songs to the Tusking and "doe-see-doe-ing" (sp?) - [or is it "skip-to-my-loo-ing" (?)] in Tusk, night after night, exactly the same?

I do overlook it though, because Stevie does seem sincere and sweet everytime she says the same schpeel about Beautiful Child and Lindsey does appear impulsively fun loving every time he starts heading towards Stevie with his guitar in Tusk and Stevie does look genuinely surprised and hesitant of his antics every time Lindsey comes at her in Tusk and ..................................

Maybe they are practicing to go into the movies. If Mic can be in "running man" I think Stevie should be in a movie too.

THAT'S IT EXACTLY .....I know in the forums discussion I was one who said Stevie was almost 'angry' at the end of the song...but after reading this...this DOES fit much better!!
