yup. I'm only familiar with 24 K gold. obviously the other three didn't make an impression on me. I guess I need to revisit them. Perhaps I might like them now, it's been a while since I listened to her demos.

Dave posted a picture of a wooden sign (that you can buy at any kitschy shop) that says "Wild Heart Gypsy Soul" and merely said that Stevie's album was sounding supercalifragilisticexpialidocious ~ Obviously he's excited about the record and the words "Wild Heart" and "Gypsy" are totally two things that enter his/our heads when he/we think of Stevie. The song "Gypsy Beggar" (and a host of MANY other songs, book titles, movies, lyrics, etc) merely contain the lyrics, "gypsy soul". Not "Wild Heart, Gypsy Soul". Just simply, "Gypsy soul". Someone on this board got excited and said "Gypsy Beggar" which then got OTHER people excited and now all of a sudden, it's rumoured to be on the album. Don't get me wrong, if it does make it on the record, and they do a great job, I'll be happy...but I just think we all need to stop jumping to conclusions and pulling indefinite/conjectural "facts" out of the air. Just my opinion. Don't stone me, please.

THANK YOU

Star shine has a very TP-ish, Gold and Braid, Enchanted sort of feel.

I like what they did with it even though I've never been a fan of the demo.

I do hope the album includes some of her more "magical" slower-paced stuff too, for the sake of variety.

I am guessing there will be a few songs in that style possibly a studio version of Gold & Braid and going out on a limb Baby Doll...but that leaves room for at least 10 others ,probably more.

I must confess that Starshine is not one of the demos I was hoping to be recorded but I wouldn't have chosen Annabel Lee either but that is one of my favorite Stevie songs now so hopefully this new version changes my mind on the song.

I'm still hoping for China Doll, Forsaken Love, Julia, If You Were My Love, Chanel Chanel, Blue Water, Belle Fluer, Three Birds of Rhiannon, The Dealer, Sanctuary, Castaway...

I'm trying to keep an open mind. Starshine is not a song I was hoping for or even expecting when they announced the album, but I'm going to reserve judgement until I hear the final product.

Starshine, the unfinished Bella Donna track, for those who haven't heard it:

Sounds great to me. Very close to the demo.

Dave has proven himself to be just as much a fan as we are.

I'm glad somebody's paying attention and that you said something otherwise the rumours would have persisted.

There has been no indication Gypsy Beggar will be on there other than some fans overactive imagination.

I think Starshine was on one or two lists from fans of demo's they'd like to see the light of day on.

My biggest WTF moment from this thread. Jaime, you should be overly familiar with ALL of her demos by now. you need a good spanking girlfriend. Where is Mick Fleetwood when you really need him?

I've already played the 16 second snippet 100 times.

Completely agree with both of you. I always HATED/DESPISED/LOATHED the stupid demo of "Secret Love" for YEARS! Still do, actually. But the finished product from IYD is GOLD for me! I love it! I think it sounds great with her current, lower register. And I love what Dave (and the C.E.O. of Warners, I think ~ the guy who put the nice acoustic guitar part on the last half of the second verse and gave it a nice finishing touch, whoever he was) did with the music. I'm still not a huge fan of "Annabel Lee" (it just goes on and on ~ it's about 2 minutes too long) but I think it was a vast improvement over the demo.

Again, "Starshine" was never a favorite demo of mine and apparently never a favorite of a lot of you on this forum, but like Tothegyspsy said, maybe we should all keep an open mind.

Sounds like you have an even better memory than me. Mine is basicly shot anyways. So yeah, we will each take a paddle and apply it to Jamie's buttocks if her fiance will allow it of course.
I still love you Jamie. This is all in fun, but girlfriend you should brush up on your knowledge of Stevie demos.

Well, I kinda recognized it when I heard it, as in I think I've heard this somewhere kind-of-way. I used to feel a little bad when I listened to her demos, because they were unfinished, and I get why an artist wouldn't necessarily like people to hear it when it's in that state. When I draw, I can't stand when people try to sneak a peek of something I haven't finished yet (and I'm not even sure why I feel that way).

Now I'm a little more open to listening to her demos. Stevie's even kind of embracing the fact that they are on YouTube at this point.

I plan on it, if anything to kill time before the release and have fun trying to guess what she's pulled from Youtube to use for it.

I don't feel as guilty about it anymore.

BTW- no spankings. I'm not into that kind of sh*t.

Jamie

I may have missed this news but has Dave said anything about them filming the making/recording of this album? It would be interesting to see how this process compares to the In Your Dream documentary since they are completely different.

Since Dave fancies himself a film maker I imagine some kind of filmed documentation will be done...probably not a another "theatrical" release though,
