Crap! Can't fix redundant error in title! This question came to mind while I was watching the Country Music Awards show. Sheryl Crow, who was nominated for her recent country album. There appeared to to complete acceptance of her as a cross-over country artist. I see Stevie as slightly less commercially mainstream than Sheryl, but I believe she will be equally embraced by that community. I won't be surprised if this album becomes a big deal. A smart move for Stevie. Given her much cited early country influences, and a dozen or so of songs in her canon that- if not pure country - are heavily influenced by it, her intentions for this album seem very authentic. Props to Dave Stewart to motivating her and showing her there are ways to record albums in a short time and concise manner. Christine's unexpected reappearance has certainly collided with this solo suprising solo project. I hope Stevie's involvement with Fleetwood Mac's new album doesn't turn into a "Tango" situation. I have faith Stevie will carry her weight. The stakes are really high now because now they have increasingly little time to waste time. I don't think Stevie will sabatage what may be their last album.
