I doubt any songs will be re-released (ex. Mirror Mirror (Was Released As B-Side), Remixes, Etc.)

Spinning Wheels/Christian!!!

I forgot to add this one to my list. This one, like "Blue Water" would make my year...if it's done right.

And like most of you, I'm also curious to see whether she will include any of her Rhiannon songs on this new album. I guess that will depend on whether she's given up on the idea that the movie will ever get produced, although I remember reading an interview with her about 5 years ago where she said that she and the girls were in Hawaii working on the script and songs for the film. I wish I could remember which article that was. Regardless, I'd still love to hear "Forest Of The Black Roses" and "Maker Of Birds" in some sort of finished form before Mama decides to stop recording.

Or that god-awful Priest of Nothing nonsense.

That was me. It is unlistenable (mainly because of quality), but it has good lyrics and a nice haunting piano melody, that, cleaned up, could be a lovely song.

Well, I guess you never can tell!

"Priest of Nothing" is wretched, but I think she was just rambling over a Joe Walsh instrumental and not seriously trying to do something with it.

Some of my faves - and I am sure there are some on here others loathe:

City of Hope
At The Fair
China Doll
Old-Fashioned (The Dance)
Sanctuary
She Loves Him Still
Something Exquisite
Love and War (Mix Down)
Love Don't Fail Me Now
Starshine
Tied Up in Promises
The Tragedy of One's Own Soul
Watchdevil
Prettiest Girl in the World
Space Needle

And also...
Castaway
Cathouse Blues
Cecelia
Christian (Spinning Wheels)
The Dealer
All These Years
If You Were My Love
Julia

OK.... perhaps that list was a bit long... and there are others I could have included. I love so many of her demos!

Which ones are the "Rhiannon" songs besides "Maker of Birds" and "Forest of the Black Roses"?

Yes I think at least two of those are very similar or variations of the same song with different lyrics. Either way, they were horrid horrid horrid works in progress that only worked in the end with NO stevie nicks and just Kenny G... as much as the world needed Kenny G in the first place. haha! We can thank Stevie NIcks for that! Without her he wouldnt have had his first HIT that rose from the ashes of Lilly Girl

The demos I'd like to see recorded are:

Julia
The Dealer
China Doll
Mistaken Love (or Forsaken Love)
Mix Down
Prettiest Girl in the World
Love You Enough
Blue Water
24 Karat Gold (of course)
Forest of the Black Roses
Space Needle (maybe an edited version)
At the Fair
Castaway
She Loves Him Still

I'm very curious to hear the newer versions of these, and other, tracks. I've been pleased with her current take on songs like Secret Love and Moonlight, although I must admit that I wasn't thrilled with the re-recording of Without You, but I think that mainly had to do with the production.

Looking forward to 24 Karat Gold.

Oooh, I forgot about Cathouse Blues!!!!! And since they were recording in Nashville...oh please, oh please...and what about her first song that she always talks about? I don't know the name, but she always talks about the first lyrics..."I've loved and I've lost, I'm sad but not blue"?

Can we start a Cathouse Blues appreciation thread?

Kevin

You might just get your wish. Somebody posted in another thread a few weeks ago that the copyright for this song was recently re-newed. I don't know if this is a standard procedure undertaken incrementally for all of her unreleased compositions or not, but it's possible this one might be included. Personally, I think there are much better songs out there and just hope above all else that "She Loves Him Still" has been recorded. I'm also hoping for "China Doll" and "Forest Of The Black Roses". These would be right up Dave's alley and give him the opportunity to present the darker, mysterious side of Stevie. Stevie's still capable of a nuanced, falsetto vocal so if she puts her mind to it, songs such as these could be truly captivating.

Or does anyone remember the infamous session of "my love for you will never grow old" I can't remember the name of it - but it's the one where she's trying to sing over her original track and the backup singers can't make any sense out of it. I hope she doesn't go for that one.

My Love is Never Lost, on the master reels. Here's the completed demo, labeled as Love You Enough
