This is such great news and I think we're all in for a real treat here.

Here's my "prediction" and I'll even go for sequencing, say the cd will have 15 songs:

24 Karat Gold (they will do a great keyboard influenced take on this promising demo)
Julia (she will sing this in a beautiful soft tone, like Goodbye Baby/Moonlight)
The Dealer (The Heartbreakers will make a surprise guest appearance)
If you were my Love
Three Birds of Rhiannon (as with Julia we'll get a great vocal)
Have No Heart
All the Beautiful Worlds
Watch Devil (the keeper of time is blind)
See the World go By (Amber) at least one of the Fritz Demos will make it, I could even see possibly combining the two into one song(?)
Cathouse Blues (she will do a killer modern version of this tune)
Space Needle (out of the great batch of tunes she wrote for TISL)
China Doll
Baby Doll
Mirror Mirror (Or, I call you Missing) completing the better known Rock a Little Demos after doing Greta, Running Through the Garden and Love is Like a River
Blue Water (I'll take a bet that this will close out the collection)

I can't see the Tango demos making the cut, but who knows

Stevie should re-record ALL her FM songs...Not because anything is wrong with them but just to have an updated version and all on one album...I think a collection of modern versions of her FM songs would do quite well...

Why on earth do you want this? We already have those songs on CD. We hear modern renditions of them all the time- that's what concerts & concert DVD/CDs like Soundstage are for.

Bob Welch did the whole reinterpretation of his classic songs, too... and honestly, I thought it was awful & kinda sad artistically. To me it says you have nothing left creatively, so let's just cash in on the old glory once again. Since Stevie is still releasing new, original music she should keep following that muse. Just my two cents.

If she releases "Lily Girl," I may have to put my entire collection up for sale. That's an atrocity that I just couldn't stand for.

I'd be surprised if she releases any of her Rhiannon-related songs on the new album. I figure she'll save them for never to be released Rhiannon album and the never to be produced Rhiannon movie.

Also, I think Stevie may have owed the record company an album and didn't have much decent new material for them so she went into the vaults. I'm glad she's releasing the vault songs, but would have preferred fresh new material with some re-recorded demos. Hopefully she has some kick-ass new music for the FM release.

But Stevie's in such a different place in her life these days. Plus, I hate to even go here... but there's a reason some of these songs never turned up on an album.

I feel the same way about all of this, but let's hope for the best. There are so many of her demos that I absolutely adore... Hopefully Dave has helped her separate the wheat from the chaff. Then again, one of my least favorites, Mabel Normand, is someone else's first choice; I find Gypsy Beggar unlistenable and it's on a list here. Obviously, what's "good" is subjective.

I think there is about a 50% chance some of the "Rhiannon "demos will be on it.This is so exciting it kind of feels like we are getting a lost Stevie Nicks album from her great years of songwriting.

Everybody just needs to let go of the notion that this is some contract fulfilling deal for her. She's doing this because she wants to.
