Default PBS' Soundstage Chicago

Lindsey and Stevie will be taping an episode of PBS' Soundstage when they are in Chicago in a couple of weeks.

Click on the link to find out more. There's also information if you live in the Chicago area and you want to buy tickets. I've seen the show before (the Chris Isaak episode), it's an intimate concert where they play songs and talk to the audience, like Storytellers.

Soundstage Chicago

At this website you can also find future airdates for Soundstage programs on your PBS station. Maybe the episode will probably air in late September or October-- but I'm not completely sure

Muchas gracias, Renae! *hugs*

Ohmigod! I LOVE Soundstage! The episode with Tom Petty ROCKED! I can't wait for this, it'll be truly special.

Now, if only they would go on Live By Request...

Thanks, darlin'!

This is so exciting!!!

Anyone know approximately how long the interim is between taping one of these Soundstage shows and the actual air date??

I can't wait!

It appears as though they're taping it on September 15th. Tickets are $325 for the first 7 rows of floor seats. Not too shabby! *wishing I lived in Chicago* I'm pretty stoked!!! I have a feeling they won't play the show until November. They're still playing the Tori Amos and Tom Petty episodes and they've been around for a while. At any rate, this is TRES exciting. Hmmm... wonder if they'll sing some Buckingham Nicks??? It's listing Stevie as Lindsey's special guest so one thing is certain...they'll be doing Landslide. Hopefully they'll do an acoustic version of Gypsy like they did at the AZ Heart Institute Benefit

Maybe. But not with me or Christine or Lindsey. Christine and I will always be close; Lindsey just plain doesn't like me. I never had any musical training of any kind. I just had this innate ability to walk in, sit down at a piano, and write a song in five minutes, and go to bed. It drives him nuts. - Stevie Nicks, 1994

Wow, this sounds great! I caught Tom Petty's episode yesterday, but I didn't know what program it was.

But I'm also wondering- will the focus be on Lindsey? That seems wierd to me.

Wow...I love intimate specials like Sting's "All This Time" and those VH1 Storytellers. Since this is really Lindsey's show I wonder what he will play? This will be very interesting.

I'm not sure what the format will be like, as far as whether it will be focused on Lindsey's solo work or will include Mac songs as well. Since they named him as the guest with Stevie as his special guest, it looks like they will focus on his solo work. That's just a guess. But why now, when he is on tour with FM and all about pushing SYW forward? Obviously, we know they will play "Landslide".

It seems to me it would be advantagous for the two of them to sing some FM songs together, perhaps from the new album as well ("Say Goodbye" comes to mind) since they are on tour to promote the new album. On the website they showed other "duos" that performed together, and they each sang solo songs and sang some together as well. (Trace Adkins w/ Travis Tritt and Peter Cetera w/Amy Grant are two mentioned) We'll have to wait for the show to know for sure.

Regardless of what the two of them sing or who the focus is on, it doesn't matter to me! This will be a very special concert. I can't wait to see it.

Interesting billing indeed. Looks like the world is finally catching on: Lindsey is the main attraction and Stevie is the sidekick. Well, at least PBS understands. No wonder the masses have missed this.

Dude... Stevie's the "special guest," so people will actually watch it.

Sorry... just had to raz a little.

I think the show will air in late-October or early-Novemeber. There is usually a six-week gap to do the post production and stuff. Just think, we're are getting SPOILED as of late.

-TISL album
-GOS songs
-New demos and outtakes
-VBOFM set
-New album
-All Access TV show
-Appearances on Leno and Today
-New DVD-As
-New remastered albums with extras
-World tour w/ second US leg
-New documentary
-New concert on PBS

The Mac has never done so much in a years time. They must be making up for their lack of output over the years.

I confess, I am nonetheless puzzled by this. Do you think Lindsey got the invite to perform solo and then said, well, Stevie and I are a package deal?
