Default Inside Out Preview of Fleetwood Mac...The Documentary we've all been waiting for???

Okay, so I watched Inside Out tonight and it is supposedly going to feature Toni Braxton and some other artists including Fleetwood Mac. I really hope this isn't the "documentary" that was filmed during the making of SYW. I have a feeling it is. Any thoughts??

I saw that too...and I was thinking the exact same thing. I really hope it does deal with the making of the album, I don't really know what else it could be dealing with...maybe the tour, which would be cool too. Or maybe both Either way I'm so excited for them to be featured on that show...Warren Zevon's was awesome.

It is the documentary for SYW. Don't worry though, it won't necessarily be only an hour long. It could be an hour and a half or even two hours; Anna Nicole Smith's documentary was an hour and a half.

From the VH1 website:

"(Inside)Out is a cinema-verite documentary series from VH1 that captures an artist or celebrity as he or she faces a personal or professional crossroads. With extraordinary access to some of entertainment’s biggest names, (Inside)Out reveals the closely guarded moments of a celebrity’s personal life that the public is rarely allowed to see."

Considering the fact that VH1 previewed the doc back in June on All Access and the premise of the show as quoted above, I'd bet my life that the doc will be on Inside Out.

Is this the big surprise he's planning for the end of the year? maybe we'll find out what that Stevie finances quote is really all about.

During the special, like before they went to break and they said "Coming Up" they showed a short clip of Stevie talking to someone off camera and she said "This isn't about art. It's about finances." But they never showed the rest of the clip on air, so we don't know the context in which she made that statement.

...but, we can only assume that it's an argument about, say, the double album that became a single album, and how they have to acknowledge the financial sustainability of their art as well as its artistic value.

Right after the Warren Zevon special at 10, they did this little show previewing upcoming programs on VH1 and they mentioned that Fleetwood Mac will be featured on Inside Out in the future...so we're assuming it's going to the SYW documentary.

I agree, the Zevon documentary was outstanding. I'm such a fan and it kills me that he's dying.

I've also given a lot of thought to what Stevie could have meant by that comment, and since we heard it in isolation, it's hard to really tell what she meant.

She could have meant that doing the single disc instead of the planned two was a financial decision because obviously, it's easier to sell a lower priced product. It could have meant that they were doing this reunion tour & album for the $$$$. She's mentioned in previous interviews that she and Lindsey (and Christine) have made more money than Mick and John because they also wrote and received royalties from their songs where John and Mick didn't. She could mean that this was something that she and Lindsey were doing for Mick and John's benefit.

Or, because her solo works and Lindsey's don't sell as much as FM's (at least, not recently), that she and Lindsey were doing it for the money too. Somehow, though, I kinda doubt the last one. Stevie doesn't strike me as the kind of person to do it solely for the money. I personally think she agreed to this because she's so emotionally tied to FM and it's members, and to the fans as well.

She possibly thinks she owes doing this to them somehow. Certainly, she's had to have made more money than any of them along the way because she's had the most successful solo career. I know she spent a lot of money along the way too, but she's still got to earn more residuals than the rest of them. Maybe by doing the project she was assisting the rest of them financially, as well as herself. Who knows? Maybe we will get to see the Inside Out special on FM and it will explain it ALL to us!

I lnow what you mean DeeGeMe. Those could be it - or, I think given the tone of her voice, she could have been quoting someone else in a mocking sort of way. Sort of like well THEY said "THIS ISN'T ABOUT ART . . . " and then finishing her statement with "what a jerk" or "they did not have to say it that way."

What I know for sure is I hope they really show a full on two hour doc. and skip the rehashed stuff they have been serving for YEARS!!!!
