I remember on the SYW tour, during NGBA she used to be over to the side putting on her bat sleeves for Rhiannon and I would look at her arms and I was so unaccustomed to seeing them it was if I was watching something illicit. Oooh, beyond the elbow.

I was contrasting Chris to Sheryl Crow. Sheryl announces she'll be joining the band and Christine -- although Mick has actually begged her and told everyone that she will be there in London -- only says, 'if they ask me, I'll play.'

I actually didn't like her saying that, but when I think of it as being less presumptuous rather than coy, I appreciate the comment. Sheryl has so much less of a right to make pronouncements ahead of the current band members.

For Sheryl, it would have been a dream come true, whereas Christine could take it or leave it, because she's already done it. Christine's the real deal. Sheryl is a wannabe who's career took off about 20 years too late to be considered peers amongst her heroes, although that doesn't stop her from trying.

Christine would have earned the right to say it if she felt like saying it. She didn't. Sheryl, on the other hand, was happy to usurp a position she didn't even have yet.

Totally didn't like the comments Sheryl made during that time either.

Just thought I'd point out that I predicted Christine's return exactly one year ago.

You could have done, "Earthquakes have Christine leave band again!"

if only for comic value...

I had this thing about Stevie and Game of Thrones, but I figured I'd lay off this year. The reactions last year were a little 'intense' to say the least.
