It's like in Destiny Rules, she said she might not do a full tour. Lindsey said he might take his masters and leave. Both of them were bluffing. Eventually they compromised. Regarding FM, do they need in her in the studio now? No. But I'm sure they want her there, whether they need her or not, they don't take it kindly when she's not around. While Christine has described in the past how Stevie would hang around being a pest because she wanted to sing and they weren't ready to sing and they had to say "not yet" to her, I think her being there helps with the song arrangements. It's like SYLM which they mentioned on the Today show. Christine (gooseflesh) has always described how she walked in with that song and Stevie and Lindsey just began singing harmonies automatically. It was instantaneous. And that kind of magic happening is what they want Stevie for. It's like taking a balloon and blowing it up so it is full and buoyant, creating something out of nothing. Hearing all 3 of them working on something, sounding it out, probably helps form a song and then once the structure is there, then she can disappear, while they work on the music. Michele |

The over analysis is killing me because of how hilarious it is.

Mick somewhat threatened to go 'On with the show" without Stevie during her IYD days...Remember when Mick was talking about the possibility of "The Men Of Mac"...

The phrase "on with the show" is curious because it's usually said when you've experienced some kind of setback and you plan to forge ahead, despite the hardship. I guess that could refer to John. They canceled shows. He got treatment, is recovering and now "on with the show."
It's just with Christine's return I would expect some kind of title that was more exuberant and revitalized and less stoic. BombaySaffires' t-shirt guesses (that the words might be "was saying") reminded me of a Jack Paar story. He, talk show host, got mad and walked off of the Tonight Show abruptly. He returned 3 weeks later and started off with "as I was saying" as if the 3 week interruption had never occurred and he was just completing the sentence that he had began before he left. Now, it's funny to think of that in the context of Christine, like she went away in 1998 and just picks up and carries on as if no absence ever happened. Michele |

'But I know it's our years of commitment and training, combined with all the lessons we learned in our time on the road, that have taught us that no matter what trials and tribulations that went before, we really know how to get "on with the show".'

I wonder if the current recording might be centred around Christine because she isn't planning on remaining in the States until rehearsals begin in July? It might be that she only has a limited period of time in which to record and then the focus will turn to Stevie thereafter? It is also likely that Stevie is preparing material and doesn't wish to be rushed. I just hope that she isn't intending upon bringing "pop" songs to the table. I want her to be strange and esoteric - leave the lightweight stuff to Chris and Lindsey. Speaking of which, I suspect "Sad Angel" will be included on the eventual album, albeit with Christine in the mix.
I would prefer that no consideration be given to a tour until an album is completed, but am realistic about the band members' collective greed. On with the show indeed... |

finally saw the clip.
interesting, this year Christine and Lindsey are doing most of the handholding, and kissing each other's hands.
